living in a multi story building does for sure which I'm assuming most of these areas will be, like multi-storey apartments and flats.

I live on the top floor, only the 4th floor with 2 other apartments under me, gets stupid hot in the summer.

It's like 10c+ over outside even with the windows open

Yeah I rented a flat in the city centre once.

Never once needed to use the heaters, and we would have to wedge the front door open slightly to get a vague breeze going through. It was always ridiculously hot.

And because of the front door being left ajar, once or twice some chancer came in my flat assuming that it was empty and they could nick something, only to be confronted by me telling them to get the **** out.

I'm neither, just a realist with what is plain for all to see since no one is forcing these people to reproduce when they can't afford to look after themselves.
you made a negative generalisation based on race. yet earlier you picked out exceptions based on race. people (not races) tend to have more children when infant mortality is high. infant mortality tends to be higher in poorer countries. it is not because of their race but because of their environment. when you make it about race, you are being racist.

No, the article made that generalisation and I'm saying it's about poverty of which the persons of colour in the report are likely to be in poverty which is why they are living in less palatial standards. This is a matter of choice either from an individuals perspective because they choose not to obtain a decent education or because their parents chose to have children in a poor family that already had poor prospects.

If the study was done properly with the fact that the US has more white ethnicity than others then I suspect you'd find many white people also living in poor areas that suffer the same heat issues except they're in different poor areas than those chosen to highlight the issue as a persons of colour issue.

Maybe some kind of medical procedure could be done to stop these poor people from creating a problem?

if they were bleached white maybe they'd stop?
Now that's thinking from a man who applied himself and formed his own role model in his formative years (whilst sharing a bedroom with his 3 brothers, no father, an abusive uncle and surviving on food stamps). Why can't everyone just apply themself and then this problem goes away?!

why would i need to, what's that got to do with your racist post?

It's a fact, not racist and since you can't offer any argument as to them being forced to reproduce it must therefore be out of their own choice which is what I referred to in "inherent problem within their race just as it is in Africa".

It shouldn't be necessary if people used their brains and didn't blame everyone else for the hardship they've introduced their own offspring to. It should be within their own capability to make the right choices just as others do when they wait until they're financially well enough off to start a family.

Totally agree. This is why I am trying to #defundShelter and also #defundHelpforHeroes.

I mean lol, they knew what they were getting into, right?

Just stop Medicare for having babies if your poor.
Job done for everyone.
Agree. Then procedures can be performed mostly down back alleys which ensures some reinvestment happens to these poorer communities.

There's a difference in people giving to charities vs a report suggesting the only people living in poor conditions are persons of colour so somehow they should be given the same palatial standards as those that have worked hard to achieve their education and better themselves.

I know I think we are agreeing. For example, I get really mad when I see Mind adverts say that men are more susceptible to suicide than women. It makes me really angry that this suggests that it is only affecting men.

exactly :)

I don't think you can name a more iconic duo than General Discussion and Race arguments. Never ever disappoints to read some wild takes.

Getting me over last night at least.
