Totally agree. This is why I am trying to #defundShelter and also #defundHelpforHeroes.

I mean lol, they knew what they were getting into, right?

Agree. Then procedures can be performed mostly down back alleys which ensures some reinvestment happens to these poorer communities.

Let's campaign for a ban on a&e treatment for people with sporting injuries, too- they only have themselves to blame.

Stop mooching off us decent inactive people, you parasites!

Maybe some kind of medical procedure could be done to stop these poor people from creating a problem?

Yeah I don't think citing eugenics as some clever way of inferring the poster is a Nazi is very productive.

The fact is that in 1965 25% of black babies were born out of wedlock and in 2011 83% of black babies were born out of wedlock. Essentially it's a problem because black children are more often being raised by single mothers who are probably struggling financially due to a lack of support from their absent spouse, which is also leading to black children more often not getting the a good upbringing. This creates a circle of poverty where by the children go on to do the same thing leading to further bad outcomes. It's wrong to suggest part of this isn't cultural because this doesn't happen in other racial groups that have come from poor backgrounds, groups like Indian-Americans while also being from traditionally poor backgrounds are actually the highest performing group by ethnicity, I'd put this down to their culture which pushes men to get married and focus in school so they can provide for their family.

How do you think other people pay?
That's right they work hard and only have children if they can afford them.

Where as the poor women see having kids as a "Get out of doing any work" card.
Also. Why should my taxes go to a women who can't afford to raise the kids?

Question, these babies born out of wedlock - why don't they just apply themselves to fix the problem they have created?

Do you actually believe that? That people only have children they can afford?

Can you cite who exactly is forcing these people to breed?
You're digging a hole.

Especially when you're talking about America where basic sex education is often sorely lacking by design, and it can be very hard to get birth control.

Unless you're going to now answer "in that case just don't have sex".

It's the parent's responsibility ultimately to educate their offspring to using contraception, they shouldn't be making it someone else's problem along with anything else they don't like about society.

I also dare say that in the US there's plenty of advertising for condoms on TV & internet so to suggest that teens are unaware of such measures because they've not been told in school is bunkum.

Well, if you're not getting any yourself, I suppose it might seem reasonable to decree that other people shouldn't either.

The Parents may not have had that education themselves, in some US states it's almost certain they didn't. You also have the issue that some parents don't want their kids to learn about even the most basic sex eduction materials (just look at the efforts and protests you get in some areas about anything other than abstinence).

You tend to teach it in schools in order to make sure that people have that knowledge regardless of how well informed their parents are.

IIRC the idea of the "Welfare queen" in the US was pretty much invented whole cloth for an election campaign in the 80's as part of a moral panic and has stuck.

What you're describing is a choice to be ignorant since you can't not know as an adult even if you weren't taught that condoms exist.

I and everyone in the Twitter comments already read it.

Also the last I checked, the tree in my backyard and all the greenspaces all over my estate do nothing to stop the sunlight landing on my skin.

Clearly you didn't read it.

The article makes no mention of trees blocking sunlight. It says that concrete, tarmac and buildings have a larger thermal mass than green spaces so those areas are hotter....

People with darker skin are more likely to suffer from vitamin d insufficiency than people with fairer skin. That is a fact.

It's nothing to do with racism.

I think he is trying to say that black folk should be grateful for the heat because they lack Vitamin D. I am actually trying to fund raise to send fan heaters to my local BAME charity.

Not to the OP post.

No it's a fact about Vitamin D. I'm short on Vitamin D so I've read all the information.

So quick to make things sound racist

https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-body/how-to-get-vitamin-d-from-sunlight/

People with dark skin, such as those of African, African-Caribbean or south Asian origin, will need to spend longer in the sun to produce the same amount of vitamin D as someone with lighter skin.
