***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

Hey anyone else getting graphical issues with the latest beta from AMD? I was running around in single player to just mess around and kept falling through Titan :D

multiplayer wasn't as bad; but got a few disconnects.

Also, who here experiences server crash/kicks on Siege of Shanghai? 9 times out of 10 the game/server crashes and kicks when the building collapses. It's a pain in the butt as it's my favourite map.

Yeah that happened for us. Me and Tone stayed on but Greg got booted. Probably because he's old.

Yep, not sure what happened there and was expecting to see us all in the lobby. It must have been the revives I was giving to you and Tones all the time that got me kicked :D

IIRC, battlelog told me I was kicked for being bone idle or summit like that :D

It's really quite annoying :(
When i've gone back to the server it looks as though it wiped out most players as well.
Grrrrr, Crashfield 4 should be it's name.

Haha I'm doing better then I expected tbh, some of the maps I've played have been excellent especially zavod 311, only had around 2 hours at it, lvl 2 or 3 just now.

What does the air burst thing that comes with support actually damage? It barely scratches vehicles and is impossible to aim at infantry, leaving it a little pointless.

Wish there was more squad death match servers around too :(

For now, i only have around 300 hours on it :p rumour has it the game was such a success gearbox are planning a second season pass for more dlc though :D

Think I was ss 12 or something at around 130 hours, stopped around the time dice decided to nerf every half decent weapon.

Should find out how the 50gb of ghosts fairs tonight :p
 
Been ploughing through the single player campaign at the weekend, fantastic looking game I have to say. Not crashed one and seems smooth even during heavy action. The cutscene with the Ship was a bit jerky though.

I noticed there's a "system benchmark test" thing that is blank and has no way of activating, is this normal or just me? I assume it's coming later.

I should go online and test the framerate, can I do it via Precision X or do I need Fraps?

The 780s are boosting to 1250 and keeping at 79˚, the rooms nice and cosy during gameplay, had to revert to wearing just my pants at one point. :D

Oh, if anyone wants to add Billy no mates I'm Arcane_UK.
 
I cant get the damn ingame VOIP to work even. Its enabled in the menu but not heard a dicky bird during the game..its pretty annoying. Any ideaS?

This is true. :D and you would think I would know what I was doing by now but sadly no and I suck like Petey does :(

Oh well, all good fun and some keyboard rage never hurt anyone :D I am glad they have sorted out the issues (or seem to) and the games last night were very smooth for me at least.
 
Oh and heres something strange. Even though my performance is really really good on Ultra, I just exited the game and took a quick peek at my MSI AB to see what was going on. Interestingly my clocks seem to be at default when playing BF4, take a peek.

Now I went straight to another game (sleeping dogs) to see the overlay properly and it was showing both my cards at the overclock values 1080/1500...also did a valley run and the same, oc values being displayed. Jumped back into BF4, played for a while, exited again and looked at frequencies, again back to defaults for BF4. Any ideas?

It's for taking out people behind cover mainly.
It explodes 3m past the point that you aim it, so if someone's behind a pillar or something, you'd set the distance by aiming at the pillar (look at the meter distance on the display) and then look to the side of the pillar and fire, it should take out the guy behind it.

Youtube it for a better explanation/demo.
 
tonyturbo, what res is that ?, that looks amazing :D

i play at 1366x768 (tv native res), and it dosnt loolk that good, and i have everything on ultra lol

edit: omg.. its your desktop... nevermind :D.. its been a long morning :p
