Compared to reviews I have seen, BF4 is not that demanding on VRAM compared to something like Crysis 3 or RTW2.

I don't think the numbers are 100% spot on as the scaling in frostbite may add some, but it does give us a really good idea of the demands 4k places on vram.

I might be wrong here but i don't think anyone is using a 4k screen, they are just using the scaling feature to try and replicate it. Although i would not put it past Kaap to have 3 running in surround or eyefinity that lucky guy.

No use to me

I am an old fart and my eyes would struggle reading text on a 31.5" 4K monitor.

How are you connected up? iirc both me and greg couldn't manage much above 3200x1800 via control panel.

I can push my old viewsonic past 3200x1800 upto 3400x1900 if i drop the HZ to 50 ,past there its always out of range

30hz so it's purely for testing. Can run 50hz but screen does some funky things.

any one offer advice,i've installed beta 1.3 and now cant get bf4 to run sp or mp. done several fresh installs of the driver, using ddu in safe mode to clear everything. All my other games, including bf3 work fine.

delete your profile from the BF4 directory, restart game, that'll probably work. Should be under my documents/battlefield4/ and it's called something or other profile. Just delete it.

Delete user. Cfg inside of bf4 folder. They is a line in here that after the patch crashed the game.
