***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

Sounds like a plan guys, bf4 really does give my top card a roasting. Unless I limit fps which defys the purpose of sli. Its also my higher boosting card, (rev2 model) though I suspect the rev1 would also run hotter in the top slot due to the cooler design. Now that its a bit cooler temps are maxing at 73/61.

So..... I thought I would give youtubes new 60 fps a try and recorded a quick bench on BF4 Siege of shanghai.

For those with Chrome, select 1080P 60fps :)

Ohhhh and I did a 1440P bench as well (of which I show the settings used at the end). Not bad for a single GPU and max details. I had to record at 1080P though, or ShadowPlay limits it to 30fps at 1440P :(

Again you need Chrome and select 1080P 60 fps :)

73 is pretty decent tbh, single 780 I was seeing mins in the 50's. Sli on a good server mins of 90 on shanghai. But on a laggy server it can still drop into the 50's. Also noticed Greg, your performance graph lines are much better than what I get.

Min 73 FPS, even with a 6 core Intel, you need Mantle :D

So long as I stay above 70 fps, I am quite happy. I don't mind admitting that nVidia drivers are poor in this on the ROG Swift and with 3 cards (not tried 2), it is bad for stutter. I only play on a Wednesday evening and have been playing on once card, as it is butter smooth on the Swift.

I have full conficdence that nVidia will get it sorted though and every other game I have tried is sweet as (might even be Dice messing up again).

I did get the massive spike when I first fired it up but thankfully it only happened once and that was before recording. You can also see it right at the very end when I am showing the settings used for the 1440P run. I wish they would sort that, as it has caused me some grief with getting killed while it forze me for that split second.

That performance looked pretty good to me. Especially as it was only running one card (assuming my eyes aren't letting me down here/)
That 1080p graph didn't look much different from a mantle graph tbh.

It is, i'm only joking about with him :)

Since the last patch in not getting as much spiking as I used too. If I limit fps or use adaptive vsync I get virtually none. But on some maps the fps tank and it becomes a stuttering mess.

Does this run much better on windows 8/8.1 guys? Getting a free copy from my nephew tomorrow so thinking of giving it a try.

Cheers lads, might as well try it as it's costing nowt.

I was reluctant as win7 was great, But having got used to win8 I just think it's simple and generally better than win7.

Seem to get no problems at all with it.

Although some benchmarks you do get lower scores, mainly Unigene ones but games are better.
