The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

It's not "PPV" as it's free for us on Sky Sports 1.

I'm going back to thinking Vickie reinstates the Undertaker to spite Edge. I'm expecting Edge to win the belt this Sunday, then Vickie puts him against the Undertaker at Summerslam and authorises the use of the choke hold.

I'm staying up for this one tonight, my first PPV (Even though it isn't) since about 2001 when I stopped watching Wrestling, but I've been watching Raw the past few weeks so I thought I may as well.

Holiday weekend here so I'm staying up to watch it as well. Currently watching the vintage show so will be interesting to see the difference in the wrestling.

Could have been a lot better I thought.

Yeah. Some bits I didn't understand, and it seemed a lot of the matches were "cut short" for various reasons.

Bad Points

I mean why call the tag team match a "Fatal Fourway" if you're only going to have 2 in the ring at once? Stupid stupid stupid. Wasn't that good a match either.

I think I dozed off during the US Championship match, dear god Matt Hardy has gone right off the boil in general. He just looks like he can't be bothered.

Same for the ECW match. Why the hell do they bother with clashes like that? Waste of damn time.

Average Points

The Diva's match was "alright". I think this could have gone on a lot longer, it seemed to be over in a flash really.

Parking lot brawl was really gimmicky, but I actually enjoyed bits of this match. When JBL set the car on fire I was like !

Both big belts matches were a bit "meh". The highlight of Edge's match was what happened with Vickie, and the Punk|Batista match started slow, but was picking up speed when it was abruptly ended.

High Points

The Y2J HBK match. This saved the evening. Absolutely sublime from start to finish, and I think it would have gone on longer if HBK could have continued. Good stuff.

All in all a mediocre event, they really need the Undertaker back IMO. :D

A lot of the spots during the Parking Lot Brawl at the PPV went wrong, due to the fake glass not giving way first time.

This happened once when John Cena was supposed to go head first through a window, later on with JBL and the final bump of the match when Cena was launched on to the car from the stage. The windshield was supposed to give away fully.

Cena legitimately busted his elbow, although it didn't look too bad. There's no word on whether he'll take a few dates off to recover or not

i did wonder why he didnt go straight through on the last dive onto the windscreen :p

if he would have gone straight thru, the pin wouldnt of been possible would it?

over all the whole thing was a bit boring, im getting sick of the y2j/hbk thing now it needs to end really. we definatly need the undertaker back and jeff hardy to get in the ppv's.

i was also really hoping jesse and festus would win the tag champ belts
