The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

this friday for my 25th, my gf and brother have both chipped in to get me the Royal Rumble Complete Anthology :D

i'm thinking..

-few friends round, wrestler names in a hat £10 each friend
-beer & shots, drink a shot if one of your guys gets thrown out
-winner takes all

:D

/repeat on other weekends until all have been seen

Highlight of the night was Matt turning on Jeff and Randy winning the rumble. Apart from those two things, a very poor ppv. The rumble was boring from start to finish compared to previous years. It had its moments, but nothing crazy. Cool to see RVD make an appearance, although I don't think he back on the roster.

Raw and smackdown this week are both going to great.

Also, Mickey Rouke vs Chris Jericho at WM25 is on.

i think nearly everyone in here predicted orton as one of the possible winners

Orton has been one of the possible winners for the last 3 or 4 years doesn't mean he was the favourite this year by any stretch. The wwe always have face's win the Rumble match so Orton breaking that trend for the first time since 1999 was a surprise

Especially when it came down to Trips v all three members of the Legacy, I thought it was nailed on for him to do his Superman routine and overcome all the odds

Dissapointed there was no Christian return but apart from that was a pretty solid PPV. Glad Orton won in the style he did.

No Way Out already sounds good, much better having both titles defended in the Elimination Chamber rather than last years spot at Mania being on the prize

Didn't know they were doing that. Should be good to get some Edge vs Undertaker vs HHH vs Jeff action going on in the chamber! :D

Im kinda hoping they keep Jeff out of the title picture between now and Mania, have him win the MITB match and renew his WWE Title push from there

I'd go with Edge (c) v Triple H v The Big Show v The Undertaker v Kozolv v MVP - ok I ran out of people for that final one :p

I doubt MVP will make the chamber this year, not that he's incapable of wrestling well, but because the competition is so fierce.

Anybody else annoyed that they put the woman's belt on Melina? Melina's entrance has become really bad since she started doing those karate moves or whatever the hell they are. Beth is just such a better wrestler and what is in store for Glamerella now that they have both lost their belts?

Trouble is, there are so few good women wrestlers now that the belt would hardly ever change hands if they didn't.

lol at shane kicking the crap out of orton last nite. i hope the "bigger plans" from stephanie mean orton going to be in some good matches leading up to wrestlemania

I reckon having Beth drop the belt is purely done on the basis that they can do Beth Phoenix v Trish Stratus at Mania 25, that way they can have Trish go over without her winning the belt only to leave the next night like when she retired back in 2006

On a separate note, cant believe they've put Kingston in Raw's Chamber match at NWO, Jericho & Mysterio fair enough but not this guy!

Hmmmmmmm the Hardy twist was great! :D Since I was thinking Christian that surprised me a lot!

The Rumble disappointed me becuase it was almost pointless in a way once all 3 members of legacy were in the ring, no way was Orton not winning it! It went as I predicted and no surprises there.

Raw last night was pretty good, will be interesting to see where they take the JBL/HBK angle now and I damn well hope they end it at No Way Out!

That was retarded. A non wrestler beating the hell out of 3 wrestlers in their prime? Yea, whatever wwe. :D
