I'm hoping for a deal on some penny chews.
I am just looking for a tablet which I can use for my commute; meaning no games or apps etc. Simply for downloaded films (Netflix/Amazon) and I can plug into my PC to sync - Having owned an iPad, it is such a pain when it comes to adding media. I just want to plug it in, drag a file - job done!
Therefore I am on the lookout for a replacement tablet which I can add files without faff. A Fire HD looks like it might fit the bill.
Whilst I am at it, I might be swayed to pick a new Kindle, I vowed to only replace mine when it packs up - 5 years and still going strong.

I didn’t used to take the day off, but after spending many fourth Thursdays of November in the U.S., it’s been a tradition in our house to have turkey, yams, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving, as it often coincides with my birthday on the 26th.
In addition, due to my tenuous French connections, (note my name), I fly the tricolour on July 14th, if only to annoy the neighbours, and always flew a small French flag on the aerial of my Black Cab that day, and on any occasion that France played England at anything, this really wound up my fellow drivers, some passengers too, and in particular my true blue English in-laws!

£269.99 still isn't a bad price. Most places have been doing £10 off a £100+ spend etc etc
all I can think of is that maybe a few places will be doing bundle deals, say £299 inc 2 games but you'll be lucky to be honest

Why a 49"? Surely a 50+ is better for 4k viewing.
All I'll be getting is Xmas presents for this year and next as don't want leave it this late again. May cost £400+ but makes it easier for me

49 purely due to price to be honest. I don't want to spend more than £500 and I need the following:
- 4K (or upscaled 4k)
- Freeview SAT connection
- Decent Audio

Nothing, because I'm not a mug that gets taken in by this crap.
I would think a few 4k TVs would be good at 50"+ with all the shabaz. Your choice of course, I just think unless tiny room that ~50" on 4k is sorta wasting it. That's just my personal view.
Im not delving into 4k until 2019. Then it will be 55".
I did get some really good deals a few years ago. (My 5820k bundle from ocuk was a great buy) often 50% off on things I wanted to buy.
But last year there seemed to be loads of publicity but the deals were not as good, or on things I would never buy.
Would like a new second screen.
But it needs to be a good deal as I don't "need" to buy it now.
