The Boys (Amazon Prime)

Jamie the Hamster was the real MVP of this episode :D

Loving S3 so far.. but Ashleigh is too annoying now and I just don't think there's a need for her. Madeline came across as a competent boss and whenever they referred to Mr Edgar it felt special as you knew it was bad (if they had to refer to her boss). I question if they're over-doing the Edgar stuff by having him appear in every episode (and I respect the actor playing him). I think it's obvious that Ashleigh is just meant to be Homelander's puppet and whilst that provides some semblance of structure I think it's clear that they're positioning Homelander as the person to take over Vought... so I question the need for her beyond the odd slapstick humour. Unfortunately, I can't see any good outcome for her :(

I'm interested in knowing more about The Deep's relationship with Cassandra... is he brainwashed by her? He ate Timothy with little to-no pushback after she text him. I get that he's meant to be a moron and easily led, but it was put under the spotlight in ep 3 and I hope they pay it off.

Be good to have some more powerful than homelander to kick his arse down a peg or two and need help from others in the 7.

I've always thought long term that it will be his son (once grown up) that will be the only one powerful enough to stop him.

....or his son turns into even more of a maniac and the bitter sweet redemption arc is Homelander saving the world from his son.

I will go out on a limb and say Homelanders son will age quicker than a normal child, much like Superman. I can't see his son being much of a powerhouse until hes a bit older. Next season (S4 has been given the green light), I guess HL son could be all matured within a year or two as time passes between seasons.

Well, a bit disappointing this week. Still very good and certainly building things up - but a bit of a filler episode.

Plus "Anything Goes" dance number?! Felt like i was watching an episode of Scrubs

I still don't know if Edgar is bluffing or not when it comes to his relationship with Homelander, keep thinking he has an ace-in-the-hole if he ever acts on his threats but maybe it's all psychological.

I very much get that impression but its done quite well so you are never quite sure.

Billy and Hughie seem to be getting addicted to temp-V.

I wonder how that will play in to things… not to mention the “side effects” they’ve not really explored yet.

Yeah they're both on a bit of power trip from their new acquisition so I'm guessing the story will dip into "becoming the thing you hate" with either one accidentally killing a civilian whilst under Temp-V (probably Butcher) and then either being put down by their own team (if they refuse to stop) or having a breakdown as they realise what they've become.

I was kind of glad in a way, sometimes so much happens in an episode that it all becomes a bit single paced. Good to take it down a notch now and then.

I saw it as bit of a palette cleanser - the last 4 episodes have been pretty non stop - good to have a breather and moment of reflection.

I didn't mind the dance number, got right into Kimiko's head and show's how she's healing, considering all the absurd stuff we've seen across 3 seasons, it's barely a blip on the wtf-ometer. :D

"normal" you say? LOL.
That was a rollercoaster of laughs, sadness, cringe, disgustingness. What a great TV show. I can't see how this series is going to pan out, really can't. After seeing the build up to the final 10 minutes of this episode, I thought I had it sussed. Oh no. Writers throw another curve ball into the mix.

The fight between SB, BB and HL was awesome. The Deep, damn, how far can he go lol. The bit when the Octopus arm or leg started to caress Deeps face when questioned by Starlight had me in stiches for some reason.

Is it me or does Starlight look like she's had some work done for this season? Something about her mouth / eyes doesn't look right.
I noticed something about her mouth in this episode and also the top of her breast/chest when wearing her supe suit. Her chest seemed very blue/purple where it met the top of her suit/cleavage bit. Maybe lack of proper circulation from her suit? Her mouth was odd too, not sure if it was lip implants or a shadow causing a woman 'tash.
