The Boys (Amazon Prime)

Very good overall, but anyone else a bit tired of Starlight making her eyes glow and doing NOTHING. Everyone she does it to would whoop her. Also, a little too much drama...more power/fights needed
shes there to be a stronk women though, most boring uneeded character in the show they could have literally killed her off after she got the deep fired.

actually thinking about it's theres probably no good female characters in the show and no strong ones either

er.. Kimiko. Ashley is a good character too, not a supe but her role is great.

Lick it up you yummy black bear.

Just finished the episode

Agree about starlight - a couple of eye glows, but hasn't used her powers once. She's just whined the entire season so far.

Herogasm - lol.

I wonder if the lack of Starlight using her powers so far is building up to something like - "she keeps backing down as she thinks her powers are weaker than everyone elses until a final showdown and she kicks ass" - type thing, only we've already seen her powers in action so that wouldn't make sense, so I've no idea what the actual reason could be but it's very noticeable that the 3 main "hero" females are all seemingly being shown as "powerless" at some point during this season - Starlight, Kimiko & Maeve.

Does starlight absorb light around her or is she siphoning energy from nearby electrical systems?

Haven't seen her use it in while so don't remember correctly but pretty sure things dim down around her when she does it, but if either of those things are true then surely she's far more powerful than she thinks?

Herogasm episode was incredible in so many ways. Agree on comments about Starlight - she's just boring af to watch. I can't even recall what happens with her eyes when she does use her powers as it has been so long.

She absorbs power. I think with Soldier Boy being Nuclear........oh, I can see where this may go.

Starlights absorbs electricity doesn't she, not 'power' per say. SB is radioactive so I dont see how starlight comes into play at all unless they retcon her power 3 seasons in, which would be lazy writing.

I figure she's more the answer to Neuman than Soldierboy, her head popping seems to need line of sight and someone with light powers who could potentially blind her seems the perfect foil.

I wonder how many people see Homelander as the hero fighting 'wokeness'.

For me the best part about the writting behind The Boys so far is they take the **** out of the "far" folks on both sides fairly equally, so those on the extreme's both like seeing it poke fun at their enemies but then can't complain when it's them the show pokes fun at, pretty nuanced really, far more than I'd expect most writers would be able to do but I suppose there's always the few exceptions which prove the rule.

Enjoyed that one.

Felt they left out the most obvious c-bomb when Butcher says “Oi” to Homelander, mind :(

Chuckled at The Deep running out of the house with the octopus in a carrier bag… and the “it’s got to CGI” line!

The actress playing starlight is grating on me since her nose job. Every time I look at her I can’t help but think there’s something amiss. Seeing her “before” and “after” photos I can’t help but feel she was much prettier before.
