Video taken just after a shampoo wash and nothing else today

SRP and EGP still doing their job of being there to protect the paint ~2 months on in coastal weather (rain almost 4-5 days per week!!).

I found that the Meg's applicator pads (the yellow foam ones) gave much better results than the Halfords ones for the same price.

The EGP has stayed on for much longer than I have previously seen so the Halfords microfibre applicator pads are quite frankly...ass and apologies are in order for saying EGP/SRP doesn't stay on very long because it certainly does if decent pads are used to apply them!

I'm after some advice.

Last week I washed, clayed, polished (AG super resin) and then waxed (Collinite 915). Also applied to the wheels.
Now a week on it's due for a wash, i'll be using AG bodyshampoo.
Question 1 - If I use AG wheel cleaner will this take the wax off the wheels so i'd need to rewax?
Question 2 - After the wash would it be beneficial to use a) rewax just this once to give a second coat. b) to use super high gloss protector? Would this affect the wax, do nothing at all?

Thanks for being patience with my noobness.

Which wheel cleaner is it? AG do an acid based one, and a non acid based one. The latter should be ok to use without stripping the wax. The former I'd only use sparingly.
To be honest, if you have wax on the wheels the dirt should come off much easier, try with shampoo first.

You can rewax if you want an extra layer on there, but applying the SRP again will strip the wax and isn't needed as you've just done it.
Having a couple of layers of wax on will certainly not do it any harm, especially now the winter weather is starting to set in :)

Edit: Did you mean Extra Gloss Protection? I assumed you meant SRP sorry :o.
If so, this is a sealant and can be used before you wax but not after.

Yes I did mean extra gloss protection. Thanks for the advise. I will add a second layer of wax and save the EGP until next time I polish.

The wheel cleaner is the acid type so looks like i'd best save that till the next time I polish too.

Thanks for the help again anyway.

My afternoonz of car cleaning "fun". Went over to my parents and hijacked their drive. Also cleaned mums JAzzmobile.

I've given up trying to clean the wheels. They're knackered and some filth will just not move. Instead I will save for a refurb or nice new set so I can refurb these myself for winter use. Also, the Type-R badge is knackered, £30 for a replacement, might as well just debadge it. Also, I have 3 big chips and thousands of small ones on the front bumper and a well scratched windscreen to go with many other small marks on the car.

Am I being really picky or is Hondas Crayola paint just unacceptable?

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I used Megs 3 step with Autoglym shampoo, interior shampoo and glass polish. I also used Pledge to do the plastics inside :D

The car is only 3 weeks old but i was still impressed with the results - it should last a good while too and make maintenence a lot easier (it's not easy for me to clean my car every 2 weeks due to where i live/work)

If anyone is interested about g-techniq:
http://www.gtechniq.com/index.htm

The C1 coating that was put on the car needs to be applied by a pro though as the surface needs to be totally dry, otherwise the coating can screw up..
