Dont think i have every seen any of my cars do this so perfect with rain! lol

Im still rubbish, doing it on the cheap with cheap products... tho it made some difference!

What's the best way to apply/remove wax?

Meguiars applicator pads for on, Meguiars terry/microfibre towels for off. This is what I use.at the moment and get great results.

As for technique, I appy wax in vertical/horizontal line. No swirling action a la Karate Kid. I then buff it off in the opposite horizontal/vertical direction.

i would deffo recommend applicator pads for applying polish wax etc makes life a hell of a lot easer and i am sure you use less.

microfiber cloths are fantastic for removing water and the residue after wax as well, i will never use a shammy leather again.

You do realize a Chamois leather is a 100% non smear drying cloth and not a wax polish remover right? I keep a medium chamois to hand when cleaning windows because a MF cloth /will/ leave tell tale smears visible under direct sunlight conditions and at night when driving under a street lamp and you look up at it whilst in motion.

MF for removing wax/polish though is great.

It's always best to keep a chamois to hand, they absorb water from glass much better too and don't bounce back any dampness which leaves marks as the water dries.

I prefer a drying towel. A chamois seems to leave loads of swirl marks on my car.

I find a decent MF fine on my glass, the cheap ones tend to leave fibres behind though.

Dodo factory have just released a glass cloth (The Mint Merkin), no idea what it's like though but I'm tempted to buy one just for the name :)
