Can anyone tell me how to stop dusty/sandy spots from appearing all over my car after it rains?

It happens after the rain has dried or 'beading' and I haven't driven it off the drive. Sometimes I wonder if having no wax/beading and just having the water sheet would look better after rain. :o

You can't stop it unfortunately.

That happens to me and it annoys the hell out of me! I believe its the dirt in the air what causes it.

I have a C120, not bad for the low price. Bit weak, not as powerful as the entry level karcher I had before but hopefully this is more reliable. Other gripe with it is the trigger takes a bit of force and becomes tiring to hold after a while, the karcher never required effort to hold the trigger.

I have the same one, been great for the 3 years I've had it.

Am I correct in saying that the "foam applicator" that comes with that would negate the need to purchase a snow foam jobby separately? Pretty silly question but you never know... does foam imply snow foam?

Don't buy kits

Get them separate.

You will need 2 buckets
1 or 2 mitt
Half a dozen micro fibre cloths
A few large micro fibre drying towel
clay bar
Shampoo
Polish
Wax

Start with those, additional stuff would be things like
Wheel cleaner
Wheel sealant
Glass polish
IronX
Tar remover
Leather wipes
Autosol for the exhaust, you will need some wire wool

I have had the E-130 for 2 years now. I presume the Nilfisk "foam applicator" is the same across the range. I guess it's a good way to apply a shampoo onto a car for a quick rub down but fails miserably when given snow foam. You really need to buy a specific snow foam lance to make it go really thick.

Can someone give me links for something that applies polish and something that applies wax, also do you need to buff wax off, if so link me Some stuff to buff off also something to wipe glass cleaner off with :)

After going through this thread can someone cast a look at the below and let me know what else I need (and also if the prices are okay - all from Amazon at the moment):

2 x Kent Extra Large Microfibre Towel Cloth - £8.99
Meguirs Shampoo Plus - £18.64
Colinite Super Double Coat Car Wax 476s 9oz Kit (with Application and Polishing Cloth) - £21.99
Meguirs Luxurious Lamb Wool Wash Mitt - £8.98

Don't buy the kent microfibres!

I've heard a few bad things about them (not sure why) on detailing world. Get 2x chemical guys drying towel or similar from CleanYourCar. Some form of quick detailer would be a good addition as it helps dry the car off and leave a nice shine. :)

Have 2 of the large Kent drying towels and haven't had any issues (what issues could you seriously get with a towel that weren't a case of user error???) although I would like something bigger as I require both to fully dry the car.
