Car had been polished and waxed - it was stunning...then the pollen covered it :(

Tell me about it. I cleaned mine on Friday evening and it was gleaming. Didn't drive it all weekend. Went out to it this morning hoping it'd still be gleaming but no, I was greeted by a nice yellow sheen and a big dollop of bird poo for my troubles

Not mine but my friends Audi A5 after a 3 stage polish and 2 stage wax. My arms and thighs are a little raw now! Started at 10:30 and finished at 7pm. After years of soft Jap paint working with an Audi was really hard work!

Not happy.

Spent a few hours yesterday washing it three times, then i polished it and then used some spray on wax.

never seen it so clean and also found some area's i want repainted when i get the rear bumper done.

I Wake up and go outside to drive my nice clean car to work to find it has rained and also 4 large bird craps all over the car in different places.

Sigh....

What am I doing wrong I pressure wash the car then shampoo and wash off but before I can run over it with the shammy it's already drying out and looking streaky / water spots dirty.

Just ordered a bottle of CarPro DLUX for my new Clio with black bump strips/mirrors, looks to be a great product and a lot cheaper than the Gtechniq stuff, will put some pics up once I've had chance to use it :)

Started at 9am Saturday morning, managed to get as far as applying Auto Finesse tripple to the car, but then the sun was out and making the paintwork far too hot to apply some nice dodo wax to it!

bleh. maybe I'll try again this Saturday, will only need a quick rinse!

Can someone recommend a good quality snow foam please?

Bilt Hamber Autofoam, ODK Arctic & Obsession Wax blizzard are all fine choices.

Worth a punt? Or is it a case of you get what you pay for..

Not worth it in my opinion at least, it will be useless, all of those ones are.

Are you washing in the sun? Rinse with an open ended hose and if need be wash just a few panels at a time if you can't get out of the sun.

Use a microfiber towel instead of a shammy, it absorbs more water and much faster allowing you to dry the car quicker, also look up the "sheeting method".

A quick one are these kits avail on the bay for 60-100 quid with the rotary polishing machines and various pads etc worth a go at all? Id buy a DA but 110 quid for a machine and no pads or owt.. seems silly :(

Its for two cars this year mine and when i buy my mrs a car ill be polishing it all up a little
