I just picked up a karcher k2 full control pressure washer, should I buy the official karcher foamer nozzle with bottle so I can put whatever solution I like in, or is there a better 3rd party solution?

Cheers!
3rd party off eBay or Amazon that can hold 1litre

Usually get some foam included as well

Must admit that was my conclusion when I tried TFR a while back, plus wasn't sure about it stripping wax.
Stuck to one or two buckets, but might try this Carpro Ech2o rinseless, just not sure how dirty the car can be for that to be safe.

Its completely safe on even quite dirty cars as long as you have a decent coating on the car (like carpro hydro2 and/or reload), and the microfibre cloths you use should be really plush ones, not really cheap ebay ones

The fact that you dont keep rinsing a single mitt and putting them back on the car means it massively reduces the chances of dragging grit all over the paintwork.

You can also mix up ech2o as detail spray, so patches of dried on stuff can be prewetted to help them come off too.

Can be used as a fallout remover too :)

Although after my bottle runs out I'll be going with a wheel sealant instead.

I may be wrong, and I'll hold my hands up if I am. But I don't believe it's a fall out remover and it is simply just turning red on contact with 'dirt' and not iron particles.

e; I'm wrong, I'm sure I read it somewhere :p

It is a fall out remover and safe on paint work there wheel cleaner and fall out remover are basicly the same thing.I had this confirmed by the guys at clean your car when i asked

Yeah it basically has higher viscosity and degreasing properties.

There's some other products with crossovers as well lol

You are right in some aspects though that most of the purple is dirt , but if you had a dirt free wheel you would still see the reaction with small iron particles.

Yeah :p I thought it was through and through a wheel cleaner but it definitely has iron removing properties.

Would probably be better using Iron X on the paint as I'm sure it would be higher concentrate etc.

Back to using the good old TDG Products today, this time on my own car. Truth be told it wasn't that dirty, but the front end was littered with dead bugs as always seems to happen this time of year. TDG Prewash made short work of that however.

I hadn't been using a tyre dressing for a while, and the tyres were filthy - I've started using TDG Wheel Cleaner with a foaming head, not sure I like it so might go back to a standard sprayer. The wheel cleaner is so cheap to use though, it costs around £1 a litre once diluted (bought as concentrate, dilutes down)

TDG Prewash after a few moments of dwelling, perfect thickness and only used 70ml of product to the rest of the 1L lance water. Only used around half of the lance too for the full car, wheels and arches.

And then after completing, tyres dressed with Megs Ultimate Tyre Dressing as fancied to change things up a bit

And because my post was quite TDG heavy, all the products used (went over with Juicy Details Iron Remover and Nanolex Tar Remover prior to applying the wheel sealant pictured and a mixture of Primal Details Wax and GTechniq C2V3)

Don't buy the Karcher foam lance, it's poor, get the Autobrite one - it's worth every penny.

I bought the Autobrite one a few weeks ago, but it wouldn't fit onto my Karcher K2 because it was too tight. They sent a replacement that did fit, and I finally used it yesterday...

Thanks.
I was going to buy the microfibres from Carpro as well if I went for it.
Car has a single coat of Meguairs yellow paste wax at present.

Whats the best tar remover for white paint? Also need a good wheel cleaner, I've been looking at Dragons Breath can it do both?

Definitely not autoglym, I've heard autosmart tardis is good though.

How about something like carpro hydro2 for protecting your wheels and bodywork.

A wheel cleaner like auto wheel can be used for cleaning both too.

Thanks, I've ordered CarPro Trix Tar and Iron Remover. I've got Dodos Juice Purple Haze, just havent had time to put it on the car yet, gave it a quick wash last week and then noticed all the tar spots, the local council decided to resurface a road on my commute with tar a chippings!

Interested to hear how that goes..

I have some Autogylm Intense Tar Remover which is a naphtha based solvent. Not something I want to get too close for any period with plastic (depending on the type!).

I've seen Trix work well on a white car and not cause a problem with staining however I'd be interested in what it says about any chrome trim..

I thoroughly recommend one of the carpro coatings too - easier to apply than wax and lasts much longer too
Are those the Ti02 CQuartz coating kits?
I assume they should be applied to base paintwork though rather than over existing wax?

How much is the attachment?

I've got one from pressurewasherpartsuk on eBay and it truly is amazing, the fitting is brass too and was only £20 compared to the plastic £40 autobrite one.

Tar remover wise you can't beat Tardis. Although in my previous post I used nanolex and juicy details stuff and both of those are some of my favourites just not cost wise :p

Thanks.

CarPro Boas are awesome! I use their orange ones for QD and wax removal. Although I also have some ones from RagMaster for polish removal and they're great too.

Sio2 yeah, but i use carpro hydro2 and reload, but yeah best applied to cleaned and clayed paintwork rather than over wax (essence is the polish that goes with these too when it needs it)
