Tried hydr02 for the first time today, it's actually impressive how easy it is to protect your car with it! We'll see how long it lasts I guess but first impressions are great.

I was going to buy some but just got given some dodojuice wax and meguiars quick detailer and clay lol

Although just had a look and the wax is only suitable for dark colours so might get some hydr02 anyway

Thanks for the advice i just ordered this lot.

Never clay barred before but looked into it, the time consumption has always put me off. What Sealant is effective and easy to apply for after use of a clay bar?

So I was washing my car yesterday and my trusty Nilfisk pressure washer stopped working. Had it a good few years, I guess they don't last forever. Slightly annoying in that at christmas i purchased a 15m hose for it and I have a snow foam gun for that fitting too. SO I guess that locks me into a nilfisk machine for my next one. What would you guys recommend to get for a new machine?

What do you guys use?

Get in touch with nilfisk support, ive found them to always be fantastic.

If you want a new one I find the D130 fantastic.

i use a karcher k4 for the last few years with no problems .But the All Black 8 from directhoses is getting a lot of good reviews and is worth a look

Can i just get the order of attack straight in my head.

Rinse (Dont have snowfoam)
Wash (Two bucket)
Rinse
Clay
Wash (Two bucket)
Rinse
Dry
Cutting polish
Finishing polish
Wax on
Buff off

Have i missed anything? Do i need to do anything between the different stages of polish or between polish and wax?

Troll weather again. Washed the car yesterday, but was too lazy to wax.
This morning, decided I would actually wax it - good thing I did, as we've just had a torrential downpour.
But I have a feeling it's one of those passing heavy showers, and now the water has beaded up nicely, the sun will come out and bake it, leaving me with water spots everywhere :/

Oh well. At least it's got a fresh coat of wax on it.

If your car is not too bad I found the clay glove products pretty decent for how much time they save.

The clay mitt suspends the contamination from what I recall, making a second wash necessary. For the time it takes however, definitely worth it.

Agreed. I bought that Farcela Clay mitt a couple of months ago, the last time the car needed claying. It's excellent and much quicker and easier to use than traditional clay, although if your car is heavily contaminated, then it might not be as good.
