is snow foam better than TFR then? Have to admit, I've always used TFR and the dirt just falls off. Will look at snow foam if it's better (already have nilfisk jet washer)

Isn't TFR supposed to be harmful to paintwork if not diluted properly, I can see it's use but personally would stick to snow foam.

Or TFR if there haven't been any adverse effects, although I'm guessing they wouldn't show straight away unless you really cocked up!

I bought a good one and dilute it at least 9/1 IIRC. I thought it was good if the car hadn't been detailed in the past, or not properly cleaned in a long time.

Good for stripping everything off so you can start fresh so to speak.

Yep it's fine for that. Whereas snow foam you use as part of your normal wash routine as doesn't strip wax, but assists in removing a lot of dirt before you wash with bucket and mitt.

Was going to get myself a nice second hand car when my lease goes back in September, but seeing how much damage seagulls can do to the paintwork, I think I'm just going to the tattiest car I can fine

Pretty sure they **** concrete.

lol? I don't have any experience of that but you need to clean it off ASAP of course. Keep a mf cloth and quick detailer in your car.

Car has been neglected for 10 months due to illness, was checking it at weekend, had to get the Kurust out.

Bonnet looks like a shotgun blast hit it, stone chips central!

Just ordered some Trix cleaner someone recommended earlier and some new wax applicators.

Question for Nilfisk C110 owners:

Do you use the supplied tornado or powerspeed nozzle?

I know there's an auto nozzle sold separately too, made specifically for cars.

Neither - I bought the auto nozzle which has a much wider fan at slightly lower pressure.

The powerspeed I think is ok to use though, but the tornado (the one that spins the water) will strip any paint imperfections (works great for cleaning my patio!)

Hmm I'll have to see how it goes then, don't want to spend another £10 on a nozzle!

So iv neglected my car for.. 3 months or so but given it a good clean today and its come up stunning. Tried extra gloss protection for first time and wheel cleaner both by autoglym which worked a treat at getting some brake dust iv had on for.. years?
Got too close with the pressure washer though on a slight imperfection in boot lid and tore a 5mm chunk off. Oops! Luckily its lower half under trim so if i ever got annoyed and wanted it spraying its £30 at most. Have applied touch up pen to it for now though and will seal it once its dried off tomorrow.

I've got a Nilfisk C110. Didn't know the nozzles were no good for cars.... Cripes! So which one is which? From memory I think I use the smaller one of the two.

Is the car safe one sold separately anywhere? If so can someone link it for me please?

Rubbish, powerspeed is perfectly fine for cars.

I stripped paint off our old C3 with that nozzle, got the car one shortly after - luckily I didn’t care about that car and was trying to get the algae out of the roof bar so was closer than I normally would go but I then tried it on the bonnet that had been resprayed and it lifted paint on that too!
