ECP has some heavy discount on Autobrite 500ml products.

Heard good things about AB Cherry Glaze so figured worth a punt at £4.99

Also picked up 3 bottles of AF Purple Rain 3.0 for £4.97 each as well as Purple Velvet Shampoo.
Was very tempted at those prices I like Autobrite. I have too much stuff already so need to exercise will power.

I applaud your will power :D

Personally have only used Magifoam from Autobrite but as mentioned have heard only good things. I am slowly picking up more and more of their products whenever I come across sales.

AB Magifoam
AB Purple Velvet
AB Cherry Glaze
AB Purple Rain 3.0
AB Brite Gel
AB Tyre Dressing
AB The Guv’nor Edgeless Buffing Towel
AB Knuckleduster Multi Purpose Applicator Pad

Trying to have some brand loyalty to clean up my setup, as numerous brands and products is killing my inner OCD.

Also refreshing my Microfibre, applicators and so on…

Now all I need is time to have a couple of hours peace on the driveway and give the car a decent wash, perhaps as it’s Father’s Day I might be allocated some time from the boss.

No, I'm in Newquay and my kid has managed to deposit half the beach in the back of the car. :p

Trips like those are what your partners car is made for :D

My partner trashes cars, can barely see the floors so any trip of that sort she knows the drill… Despite multiple occasions of returning it to it’s new car state, within a week it’s back to how it was so I’ve stopped bothering.

Cleaned the car this morning, it’s been a while probably 8 months. All the grey plastic on the grill now looks like this, any ideas ? Presume it’s some staining but can’t think what.

I don’t think it’s UV. In places you can see what looks like something that has been sprayed on and run off a bit. It’s not your usual exterior plastic, this is a very smooth high quality plastic in the grill. Car is also only 3 years old.

Saharan rain again yesterday evening :( car is totally covered it in right now! CBA to even clean it off :rolleyes:as have a slow puncture so cannot even drive until the new tyres are delivered next week.....

@LiE thats what the air intakes on my porsche looked like when I first got it. I can only assume something was allowed to dry on there that shouldn't have been.
Over time with various plastic treatments it was effectively restored.

Which treatments did you find best ?

I gave it a good wash with a pH neutral shampoo and then hit it with a water stain remover which helped a little.
Moving on from that I tried a few plastic restorers. The best was probably gtechniq c4 but even some cheap £5 a bottle stuff did the job, just didn't last more than a week.

Indeed, but she drives an Ibiza and is a mobile hairdresser, her car is always full of all her gear, not to mention the dizzying 84bhp. :D

Yep, mine has just been to Newquay and back and was cleaner last night than it is today.

My car looked like someone had poured a bucket of sand over it!
I cleaned it today, so sods law dictates that there will be more saharan rain this week.

Just about to clean mine cannot stand looking at how dirty she is then I see even more rain due this evening little point cleaning if its going to drop another load of saharan rain :(

Did mine earlier, used the new HydroQD. Definitely need to invest in a proper sprayer though.

Now awaiting fresh Saharan rain :p

Definitely need to get the car properly detailed. Think I'll pay someone, I'm never satisfied with my own work.

Cleaned mine earlier too, same with others it was caked in dust again after heavy rain. Starting to think I'll ease off with the OCD of having an immaculate car, I've never known so much dust to be around since that Saharan dust storm back in March.

Had an absolute mare today, thought I had a bright idea of connecting my new expandable hose directly to the battery powered pressure washer rather than continually filling the bucket sat a top of the unit, but the pressure from the hose was too strong for the PW fitting.

I didn't have any GT wheel shampoo, so used Surfex HD 15% diluted in a foamer and that worked extremely well as a wheel pre-wash. It removed a lot of dirt after a rinse and pulled a lot of brown off the tyre. Used bodywork GT shampoo to wash the wheels with brushes etc.

Still want to order some Car Scope products but they have an Instagram section of their website where they're always teasing up and coming products, making me wait to order until everything is available. I'm just going to order their rotor wheel shampoo, Siege wheel cleaner and their brushes.

@V_R were you driving in Marlow yesterday? Noticed a Red GTI behind me on Spittal Street.
