They have changed their minds now no rain due apparently! I spent 3 hours washing mine by hand earlier cannot do it any other way with the dust as you can easily scratch it to piecesIs that right? I won't bother either then.
I don’t think it’s UV. In places you can see what looks like something that has been sprayed on and run off a bit. It’s not your usual exterior plastic, this is a very smooth high quality plastic in the grill. Car is also only 3 years old.
Looks like UV fade to me.
The plastic is mid grey from the factory. It’s the plastic between the chrome in the grill.Could it be water stains? Or even mild Acid Rain.
I think there is some element of fade down to UV but these plastic’s aren’t jet black to start with, when I had my A3 I used Car Pro Pearl and they looked a lot better although it was temporary.
The more permanent G Techniq trim dressing looks a good shout.
No mate, not me. I was driving back from Newquay, closest I got to Marlow was the A404 in the late afternoon.
By the way, are you on Instagram or Roadstr, @that_alfa?
AutoGlym used to do an amazing bumper (old unpainted bumper) restorer. It used to go on like an oily jelly and last for ages.
My old Fiesta MK6 was grey plastics so I think should be OK. It was a green slimey product so not colour specific I don't think?
Yeah it is, 4 and a bit hours if you don't stop and the traffic is on your side, an easy 5+ if you have a pit stop. Worth it though, love that part of the country.Newquay is one hell of a trek! Nope, I don't have any social media accounts but that Roadstr platform sounds interesting though.
Car has its first service this due this week, which means I'll be lusting after some of the Quadrifoglio on display which I know I shouldn't buy next, especially if fuel prices never come back down.
I'd be interested if you can get this sorted. I've noticed it on my car too.

It's covered in sand right now, it needs a wash but the last time I used BSD it just trapped all the sand deposits. Also has anyone noticed that a nice clean car attracts cats or foxes, judging by the paw prints all over the bonnet and roof.
Bad picture but do you think that stuff would work on this (the trim bit):Gyeon Water Spot remover is perfect for stuff like that @LiE.
Reviews were mixed but Chemical Guys heavy water spot remover gets tons of praise. Will give it ago but I’m doubtful.Gyeon Water Spot remover is perfect for stuff like that @LiE.
mottled/bleached from winter road salt spray ? (... oily deposits from next diesel cars exhaust/oil off road surface) - if you clean fans and radiators after a few years it shows how much is drawn through grill,Could it be water stains? Or even mild Acid Rain
