I'm in two minds on whether to play this using the keyboard + mouse or using a 360 gamepad. By the looks of all the review videos/screenshots it's an incredibly atmospheric game for which a HDTV + sofa would clearly win, but it's also a shooter so mouse + kb wins. Guess i'll have to wait and see how it handles with a pad.

is it only me who seems to appreciate games more when you actually buy them ? I bought Dead Space and think its amazing yet mate has a copy and thinks its very avg (ill have fun deleting it from his HD when i visit)..

ive pre-ordered the CE edition but it hasnt arrived, fingers crossed it turns up at least 2moro !!!!!

I've ordered the CE for the Xbox so I can enjoy it on the big screen with surround sound.

PcGamer is so full of crap, how they could ever give Far Cry a score like that and rate the Witcher bad has made me cancel my subscription.

yeah I think I'm going to be cancelling mine too. Everyithng just gets 90% if it;s big, as the big publishers just wont give them previews unless they say the sun shines out of it;s orrifces.

Can find better reviews on line too.

Only get it so i can findout about games that i otherwise wouldn;t bother looking up.

I'm quite curius to see what the guy whio writes crt-alt-del says about it, as i know he's a big fan of the originals.

The dark, tongue-in-cheek humor, the sarcasm, the smarmy dialogue that was so pervasive in previous Fallout titles now seems relegated to just some of your dialogue responses, and a few individual characters. I was sorely disappointed to find that the Raiders have no quirky one-liners to throw out during combat. "Bone... so white" after a crippling wound or "I'm going to supper on your groin, I promise you" always got a smile out of me.

what is it with people getting all anal recently, requesting pics with username/bread and Game IDs, s*** stirring.

Really if anyone has Dld it instead of buying it, whats the big thing to you, if even so many as one of you can stand up and say I've never DLd anything, recorded from TV and let someone ealse watch it or recorded from radio then I'll eat my shoe.

Had this been a few years back pretty much everything I posted/questioned would have been questioned as the only thing I did was play Jap import PS1 games.

Someone on the forum DL's a game, that has what effect on you?

Or are we gonna go all high and mighty and complain about the negative effect it has on the games industry? Wasn't it the "games industry" that decided they should also offer digital downloads to somewat battle witht he illegal downloaders? yeah the same people that charge you MORE to DL a game than it costs in stores?

Just read on the official forums that the game fully supports the 360 pad, and just replicates the 360 interface (onscreen button tips etc) so I'll be going down this route.

I've nothing against the act of piracy itself, pretty much everyone here will be guilty of it in some way or another whether this be watching a youtube video with copywrited music or downloading games, i know i've done both of those in my lifetime. What i dislike is when people seem to think they gain bragging rights as they've managed to obtain the game early by doing what is morally incorrect. If someone downloads the game, great! Enjoy yourself, just don't post images and spoilers on this forum showing off the fact you got it earlier than everyone else who has purchased it legitimately.

A new mod (Jedifragger) has been appointed to the games section recently, he has been tasked with cutting down people talking about games they have obtained early due to piracy, so hopefully the example i have posted above will become rarer on these boards.

[EDIT] Also, nice price on the special edition, i was tempted to opt for it too but knew i would get mocked if i took my vault-tec lunchbox into uni with me D:

I'll agreee with you on that one, I just think some of the things asked are getting a bit silly, Im sure a lot of you saw recently when the like of GoW2 was leaked early due to a dude in the manu plant. This has been going on for absolutely yonks, pretty safe to say omst of the illegal downloads will be in some way either related to this or causing this.

I just think its a bit unfair that anyone that receives something early gets slapped with tar and feathers dumped on em, a few days in advance I'd never question... a wekk or more then yeah maybe so unless relkeased in another region at the time, and AFAIK theres nothing stopping people from talking about import games and the playing of them until it verges on making changes to hardware to be able to play them.

As for the price, I was gonna wait for a while but I managed to get a Student card for the store and with that 10% off makes it cheaper than the standard price at some places so thought what the hell.

Maybe JediFragger can have a talk with the admin and strike up some rules around prerelease stuff and timescales before were all running around dressed like chickens xD

Ah yeah, the US Survival Edition or whatever it's called that comes with the PIP-Boy 3000 Clock, that looks awesome although I think it cost over $100 RRP.
