The Countdown Has Begun...... Fallout 3

Only just installed and had a brief play.
Graphics aren't exactly next-gen but ok, controls feel nice and smooth.

So far so good and presume it'll get even better :)

Cant decide, PC or 360. Im crap with FPS on a pad but Id need to upgrade my GPU to play this amongst other PC games.

How hard are FPS games to pickup on 360? I tried ages ago and gave up shorty after

You get used to it.

I think this choice is down to how you want to play it.

For me, I'm tackling it like an RPG. Long hours sat on a sofa tbh. :p

Ive got the TV and PC in same room so Its comfy either way. Might get it for 360 just to save on installing and faffing! Plus the TV's 32" and monitor is only 24"!

Had to take some settings down just a tad on my 8800GTS 320mb, mainly view distance and shadow distance etc, but everything else at full with 2xAA its great.

ps3 or pc , which format ? modding with pc or 42" of sofa pleasure on ps3

To be honest i would go with the PC because the PS3 version is apparently the worst out of the three. And looking at graphics comparison pictures it does look the worst, not sure on controls etc.

cant believe that some people dont have the balls to admit the obvious. sometimes a game that i really want and have pre-ordered is oot much earlier, i find it a bit foolish to wait... i just reinstall and copy the save file when my preorder comes.

anyway, i think i'll skip fallout 3. i am all burned out of bethesda games. yeah despite the setting, they all play the same.

My game is legit retail. I pre-ordered last week from the cheapest place online I could find and to my amazement it turned up today!

From what I just read about the fact that enemies level scale as yours does like oblivion - means it has to be a PC purchase so it can be modded.

I for one won't buy the game until it is "fixed" as such.

The enemies levels don't scale in Fallout 3, it has been said in reviews that different areas have different level monsters but the game doesn't let you know when you are entering a zone that has monsters that are much more powerful than you are at a lower level. Therefore it's a trial and error of discovering these high level areas for yourself. Or so I read in numerous reviews.

According to various previews/reviews they do scale but only once, as soon as you enter an area the enemy levels in that area are locked. If you find it too hard, go away and come back later at a higher level they will still be the lower level you left them at. Personally I think this is a great comprimise.
