The Countdown Has Begun...... Fallout 3

[EDIT] Removed - i really am too early into this game to judge it properly yet and since many are still waiting for their copies i don't want to influence their first impressions.

My friend has this on PC and he has a Geforce 8500 512mb and he says it runs good on medium settings and it still looks amazing.

Still not sure if my 8800GTS 320mb will be any good. Haven't run Oblivion either so I still don't know how my PC will handle....i hate it when companies don't release demos!
 
Anyone elses copy not arrive thru their door today... just so I don't feel like the only one :(

I only ordered it yesterday morning though, so prob my fault :)
 
Installed last night and I must say absolutley cracking game so far.

I average around 90fps outside in the open on my gtx 280 with 1920 x 1200 / 4xAA / everything ultra high and it looks stunning! Very impressed.

My Collector's Edition got posted on Tuesday morning by the dog and grammar phone place. Not arrived as of yet, not getting my hopes up though.

Err. I just ordered the CE from a place which will deliver tomorrow for £35.

I played about an hour of Fallout 1 so I don't know if I'm going to enjoy this, although I love the post-nuke setting.

Someone tell me what I've just bought? :p
 
The various issues reported by reviewers and gamers sound rather small and definitely fixable. I know the issues aren’t exactly game breakers but I hope a patch or two are released to improve path-finding and general NPC behaviour. Stuff like that can really ruin the atmosphere very quickly :(

I hope everyone is enjoying their copy while I wait patiently... hmph.
 
I just got my competitor exclusive limited edition of fallout 3 just moments ago arrive at my door :D. Now if only i could play it right now, instead i will have to get some sleep as i spent all night trying to fix a network problem, then waited up for the delivery, sleep time now. I will try to get a review of it later today, but chances are it will be a week before i get a good indepth feel for the game.
 
Naw my CE arrived from another place(got it for £35), really cool stuff the concept art is awesome. Only prob is my HD is borked atm =/ Oh well I'm sure it'll be worth the wait to see in on triplehead :D

I have a 8800GTS 320mb and I'm currently playing on 'High' settings (no other sliders changed) at 1280x768 (16:9 on the LCD TV). Early impressions are great, and I've not noticed at frame rate problems at all. That might change when I get outside, so I'll give you more of a heads up later on tonight as to how it performs.
 
My Limited Edtion just arrived, yey :)
The figurine is pretty ok, little underwhelming compared to bioshocks big daddy, but still pretty decent

Out tomorrow mate and on steam pre-order.

However some lucky blighters have been receiveing theirs early through online stores and having it shipped.
