The Countdown Has Begun...... Fallout 3

With regards to the aiming, I was under the impression that having a high skill level in a particular class will allow you to be more accurate. Having a low skill level in a particular weapon will mean that bullets fly all over the place and not be accurate - sounds like a good idea tbh - having to train up in a particular specialism of weapon but still being able to use others but simply not to the same accuracy.

Well it would have been a much better way to have effected your aiming via the usual slow moving cross-hairs, then making your bullets fly all over the place while aiming squarely at your target.

The various issues reported by reviewers and gamers sound rather small and definitely fixable. I know the issues aren’t exactly game breakers but I hope a patch or two are released to improve path-finding and general NPC behaviour. Stuff like that can really ruin the atmosphere very quickly :(

I hope everyone is enjoying their copy while I wait patiently... hmph.

Sadly the things I've reported are exactly the same problems still plaguing oblivion after 2/3 patches and a unofficial patch.

They are minor issues, but when your trying to become immersed in a game it makes it really annoying. Its difficult when the player your following or mob your chasing gets stuck on a rock he could step over and runs into it for 20mins or the infamous blade of grass running on the spot trick , or the sheriff in Megaton who when he runs down the slope from the main entrance, he sort of teleports down the slope, he'll move forward into the air and then fall down, rinse repeat.

Then there is the constant recyleing of voice actors, one minute your talking to a female and she'll switch between male and female voice, its really quite disturbing.

Mobs getting stuck in trees and spawning infront of you.

Its just oblivion with a lick of paint and guns. This game will take at least 2 years of the modding community to get to the point where it should be.

Which is what bethseda always do, they release a game half finished witha SDK and say "modders, finish the job please, we just want your cash"

My new lunch box............. and game is now waiting for me at home yay :D

Cant wait to get home and fire this sucker up :)

I got my from a playful company ;)

2 ctd, cant seem to find anywhere to put the registration key and i can see windows sidebar and taskbar icons flickering in the background, ah, the joy of getting a new game, off to the tech support forums :)

Really don't know whether or not to get this, only got a P4 3Ghz, 1gb ram and an ATI X850, pretty much mimimum specs. Anyone seen how it plays on mimmum?

On my 8800GTS 320mb i have everything at ultra with 2xAA, but took the sliders down about 1/10 on each, so its basically V.High i'd say :p. Bit clunky at times when outside, but nothing to kick up a fuss about really. This is at 1280x1024 with a C2D 2.8Ghz and 4Gb ram.

This sucks, mine still hasn't come yet everyone else seems to be getting theirs today.

I haven't, postie been and gone... Just hope it comes tomorrow :)

Gives me more time to crank up the 360 and play Dead Space though... would still like to have Fallout 3 now though.

I can't give you definate advice but you can almost take the recommended specs and see them as minimum to still get any decent IQ, if you have the absolute minimum specs it means the game will run but most likely <30fps at 800*600 low detail
