The Countdown Has Begun...... Fallout 3

GFW Live games usually have the same achievements as the 360 version and they appear on your 360 gamercard as well so no need to get both 360 + PC when the PC is the best version.
 
New areas to explore, dialogue, characters, weapons and items. Perhaps even another vault long since abandoned by its previous occupants for reasons unknown, well, until you explore and find out... That would be cool.

Anyone know if you can still play the game after completing the primary quest?

Deffo - with the knowledge of the other vaults and how messed up they were, it would deffo be interesting to see if there were any further survivors of the vaults.
 
Hi.
I never played the other 2 fallout games, so excuse my ignorance.
But this looks pretty silimar to STALKER.
I'm desperate for a new FPS on the PC, but man - I detested STALKER big time.

Is this going to be better?

better than stalker (or not) is just a matter of opinion.
if you like oblivion then you should like this......similar game.
 
At the heart of it, this game is an RPG whereas STALKER is an FPS. The FPS functionality is merely a gimmick IMO to attempt to widen the appeal of the franchise and reach a wider audience.

The fact that you can choose whether to use turn based or realtime says it all really. Gonna be turn based for me every step of the way :) I hope it can pull it off and remain kickass with the whole genre gender swapping.
 
It's not turn based is it? It's just a pause and aim feature that judging from the gameplay videos almost always results in easy kills.

Seems more like a cheat mode to me :)

Turn based? Ok, are we still talking about Fallout 3? I know the combat system allows you to pause the game briefly so you can execute a variety of combat-related actions, but turn based? :confused:

In my humble opinion, your S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl is a FPS with RPG elements... Fallout 3 will undeniably provide a more traditional and rich RPG experience with a FPS perspective / combat system. It's going to be awesome :D

Which reminds me, does Fallout 3 have a decent musical score throughout the game? Or perhaps dynamic music which changes according to your situation?

Why are people so mad over "xbox" achievements? It's like the new generation of gamers need instant gratification and silly little rewards (that don't do anything). Does it try and make everyone feel like they are a winner!? . However, achievements that actually is reward, well that would be totally different and have been in games since forever.

I've seen people go mad trying to get "x" kills so it shows up on their gamer card. How many of you honestly give a ____ about other peoples cards? seems a bit sad!

Uuuuuuuunlucky dude!!! Seriously, I would be pulling my hair out if that happened to me. Can't you just buy another copy, rage it by xmas n then trade in the new one?

I like achievements that challenge you, perhaps make you consider doing something you would otherwise not think about. Although achievements like "Escape Vault 101" seem a little lame to be honest. I'm sure there are better ones though :) But to be honest, I don't really care if a game has them or not.

Yeah I know but my folks / girlfriend and her folks always ask me for ideas for Christmas. It's around this time of year, after my birthday, where I'm pretty much forbidden from buying anything :D I don't really mind it but at the same time I really want this game lol. Well, at least I have something to look forward to :) Of course, I could buy it... but I would suffer dire consequences :p

Sounds to me like someone needs to hide in a vault of their own for the next few months so as not to hear any spoilers about this amazing game!

I would still get this game n tell ** missus etc not to get this one as it will keep u occupied until xmas when u open the rest of the gear.

You are right about the spoilers... I'm gonna have to be so careful. Probably abandon this thread too, just to be safe. There is always someone who posts spoilers without adequate warning :)
