I'm lucky in that I can leave the 360 on conditioner year round in the garage. Wouldn't dare leave it even 3 days off this as the parasitic draw on these is horrendous and it would be stone dead.

You'd be surprised, a couple of times I forgot to hook my 360 up to the trickle charger and not used it for ~2 weeks and it's been absolutely fine :) Not something I'd do as par for the course mind admittedly...

Amazed Lamborghini dealers weren't more clued up on what to do with a dead battery mind

It’s well known that Lamborghini for whatever reason has a high drain on batteries as to why is unknown.

What spec of battery is it @kindai maybe you could fit a much higher quality item?

The Ferrari is not much better, neither is Porsche it’s well known that the batteries fitted from factory are just average quality at absolute top dollar price. Most people who are not running warranties just fit much higher quality units which helps a lot.

On factory battery trickle chargers are a must as during winter you’ll be lucky to get much more than a week, maybe two weeks at best in Summer.

It like in my 458 the supplied trickle charger delivers a mere 0.6-0.8 amps so barely enough whereas a CTEK MX5 is 5.0 amps.

Conspiracist in me says they do it on purpose so you go back for replacement batteries which they have like 250% margin on lol.

Also have new engine bay struts on the way as these no longer work, so big stick had to do the job.

As previously mentioned the gas struts had failed for the engine lid.

Lambo cost ~200 in parts and ~180 in labor.

My cost: £90 in parts and 20 minutes.

Hi all!

So, today was a year since collecting the lambo. And what a year! I am still absolutely in love with this car, it is such an event to drive and always brings a smile to my face, and also to so many who see it.

As is traditional, a breakdown of the costs of ownership for the year, these are full costs assuming you have no insurance/warranty and didnt get any deals:

4 Dot Numberplates: £145
New exhaust: £6600
Custom wiring loom for exhaust: £950
Heat wrap: £250
Paint protection: £4300
Replacement wheel spoilers: £78
2x Wheel paint refurb/repair £150
Lambo diagnostics: £177
Brake pad sensors: £155
Gas lifts: £90
4 tyres: £900
Service: £2400
New spoiler wing: £5000
Replacement water pump: £1600
Microswitch: £57
Replacement brake fluid for SRF: £60
Insurance: £900
Tax: £609
MOT: £45
Training at milbrook: £1430
Petrol: £4160 YMMV.

Total ish: £30056

Now bare in mind a lot of that cost was covered by warranty work and I made deals/rebates on some of it, so realistically the cost to me for ownership in the last year or so is a lot less, for example theres nearly £7k of warranty work just on the water pump and spoiler wing alone.

If you drop out the "optionals" I put into the car, zorst, PPF etc and assume you take warranty as youd be stupid not to on a car like this with the huge bills it can chuck out:

Normal Numberplates: £50
Replacement wheel spoilers: £78
2x Wheel paint refurb/repair £150
Lambo diagnostics: £177
Brake pad sensors: £155
Gas lifts: £90
4 tyres: £900
Service: £2400
Insurance: £900
Tax: £609
MOT: £45
Petrol: £4160 YMMV

Total ish: £9714

With the majority being eaten up in £80 of petrol a week. And again theres even optional in that, like the tyres, the gas lifts, the wheel refurbs/repairs.

Anyway, some pictures after a clean:

I was just thinking ooooof that sounds like a lot in fuel.

Then checked and I spent £250 last month on fuel, which works out at £3k per year with no major trips. So an extra £1k on fuel, about £20 extra a week, bargain really.

It looks awesome, but I just can't unsee the slightly offset crossbrace(or is it the engine).

Also with is with the price for a new wing, that seems extortionate, what's it made of carbon fibre reinforced with unicorn hair:D.

£4160 of petrol in one year, good effort that!

Not bad effort at all, I've got Shell bills for around £4000 for last year and probably another couple of grand for none Shell petrol stations or where I did not use pay at the pump.
With fuel price increases can easily see another 5-6k on fuel alone this year, but it brings the smiles. :D
