***** The Crysis 2 Thread *****

Why didn't you call the vote and let people know how to vote yes?

How often have you tried to rally people to do something on a public dm/tdm server? It's like trying to herd a flock of seagulls into a cardboard box. Most of them don't even read.

Of course, I half expect you to reply "WELL I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM" but yeah, others do ;)

Ive been playing the singleplayer through and i think i am about 2 thirds in, maybe 3 quarters. It is a good ,not great. I'm getting a bit bored now as every level seems to be the same and there isnt much variety in the enemies.

Glad i didnt buy it at full price on release now.

One good thing however is that the graphics were better than i thought they would be. There are some really beautiful scenes in it however you can't stop thinking what might have been if it was PC only.

Finished it this morning and whilst i did enjoy it it was over all just okay imo think it was dragged on abit for sake of it. 7/10 but i did find the game visualy very nice so why people moan about the graphics are beyond me

Been trying to think of what this game reminds me of for the better part of 24 hours now and it finally came to me! Reminds me of halo 1 on the xbox. The tall thin enemies remind me of the big blue shielded guys and the really big heavily armoured aliens remind me of the big ones with the shields on halo. Even the little crawling aliens on crysis 2 remind me of the swarms of crawling pod things you get on halo and hell even the default crosshair on the shotgun etc looks extremely similar...

There are a few things I do like about it though, namely some of the weapon handling. The M60 actually feels powerful, as does the 24 round clip assault rifle which name escapes me at the moment. The graphics are really good in places, especially for a dx9 game but the textures in a few places do kinda look washed out and overused.

I'm right at the end of the game now and I've been quite literally forced to use stealth a few times whilst I'm only playing on normal whilst that was only really required on the original games when playing on hard/delta difficulties. I really wish there was more variation with enemies though as the game gets amazingly repetitive towards the end due to the sheer amount of ammo you need to expel to take down the red shielded and large armoured aliens with most of the weapons in the game, even when your aimed straight at their heads.

Just finished this myself, after having a bit of a marthon with Crysis 1 and warhead, funny enough it was Yahtzee's less then damning review which actually made me buy this game in the end. :p

Looked nice and ran exceptionally well, which was a nice suprise after the last 2 games. Was fun shifting between sneaky-sneaky, stabby-stabby mode and then just grabbing a HMG and going all Rambo on their asses.

In the end I enjoyed the game, but it did feel a little drawn out and I missed the sheer space and open-endness of the previous titles.

Have you played Crysis & Warhead?

Yes i have and they were nicer but the gameplay was out right boring and crap imo, Whilst Crysis2 isnt as good visually their is still nothing wrong with it and doesnt deserve all the bad comments about its gfx it has had.

This is probably one of the most boring games I've played in a long while, a huge step back in level design from Crysis/warhead......farcry even :(

I have to agree, had this since day of release and I'm finding it boring. I'm only at the locate hive entrance and break through into city hall level and I find it hard to bring myself to play this game. Like yesterday played it for 20 minutes, then got bored and played L4D 2 for 2 hours.

Just wondering does anyone know of any cheat codes for the latest 1.4 patch of crysis 2? Ive finished the game and like the idea of doing the single player in god mode lol!

Finished this today. Didn't quite meet expectations but still enjoyed it.

My thoughts now I've completed it:

-As pretty as Crysis 1 IMO, some people are just moaning because its multi-platform and I feel thats an unworthy critism. There are far, far worse multi-platform titles out there.

- Story was dreadful. For those that didn't play with subtitles on, for the first half of the game, that Dr.Gould bloke said "man" at the beginning and end of every sentence *cringe*

- Weapons all felt nice, and I personally wasn't too bothered by the lack of Strength mode.

- The Ceph on the other hand were pretty meh. I hate to say it, but I think I preferred the ones from the first game.

After all this time we STILL are having issues with the multiplayer and joining servers. There is 5 of us and we just end up going on COD BLOPS as Crysis 2 is just too much of a headache.

80% of the time it will fail to connect to servers in many different ways

Servers booting people out during and after a match

Most servers including UK ones showing as 1000 ping

Complete joke. Only half decent mode is Assault but there is normally only one full server playing it :(
