***** The Crysis 2 Thread *****

This game looks great!

Running flawless on my PC with Hardcore (all stock settings) -

AMD Phenom II 955
8GB DDR3 RAM
GTX480

It's good fun :D

Graphics aren't terrible -- I'd say they're at least on par with a lot of recent FPS games. That said, though, the demo still has nothing on the original Crysis.

evrey game i join when 12 people are in the room nothing happens. Its just full of people on the chart saying "start?"

none of the games are starting

They made crysis 2 in the city to make it better to play over different platforms.
looks like they made this game for the consoles and just ported it over to the pc.
crysis 1 blows this out the water in graphics and how old is that game now.
i feel very let down and all the hype was just that hype.

Do us a favor and don't misslead people with obvious biased statements, in noway does C2 demo look far far better than crysis.

It doesn't look far far better but its better over all, it looks much cleaner and realistic but maby not the bloody writing on the walls is as detailed, seriously come on... when your playing and looking around for people to kill you don't read the small a4 posters and stamps on the wall =)) and im sure we will get all the little options for motion blur and soo on...

You are just looking for daft reasons to hate upon this game and try to put other people off by saying '' Ohh it looks like crap!'' ''I can't read this piece of paper on the wall so im not going to buy the game'', It's just because its different... there are massive amounts of hatters for every game and im starting to see its the same people that are posting for every game that is about to be released.

Haters going to hate....

looks excellent in 3D and never moves from 60fps at 1080p/hardcore with an imported sli profile. the multiplayer of these games is never really for me, it's a decent cod clone with the suit tacked on, gimme quake anyday though, but i absolutely cannot wait to experience the single player in dx11 in 3D

Used my old Gamespy account and it worked.

Game runs at 30 FPS in whatever mode it defaults to at my res of 1920x1200 on i7 920, 6GB RAM, GTX 470 x2 SLI. SLI is not supported, second card not being used at all really. Looks very blurred to the point of it making me think my eyes are watering all the time. Everytime I managed to get in a game I get booted for a lost connection and the game signs me out.

Biggest sign it's not a PC game is the Press Start message at the start. Other signs it's not a PC game are the video demonstration on how to play at the start is clearly being played with a control pad.

Oh, and while I am on a whinge, why start a PC game that's not the native resolution of my screen? Why do Crytek think I would want to play, their already blurry game, at 1024x768

Uninstalled, might pick up for the SP when it's a couple of quid in the Steam sales.

It's fine for me really clean and sharp :-?

Anyone had any memory leak problems?

Game completely froze for about 10 seconds and then went on fine. Seen some reports of stuttering after awhile as well.

I just played my first match online. I agree with what people have said about it looking the same at any settings but then I can also say I run it maxed out :p Seriously, surprised how well this game runs on my GTX 260 216 (oc'd to 730/1460/1200). For reference I could run Crysis Warhead on all high with enthusiast shaders at 1920x1200. I'm sure I won't be able to max out the final release (especially since I don't have dx11).

It also sounds better than Crysis and Warhead (dunno if anyone else feels the same).

As for the actual graphics they look fine tbh, can't compare in too much detail to the older games as I haven't played it for long so maybe they are indeed a tad worse but they still look good and run great.

Gameplay also seems good (again I haven't played for long and I've never even bothered to play Crysis MP or Wars :p).

Does anyone else notice the assisted aiming? I really dislike it. I know it can be turned off, but fighting people who have it on is annoying.

I can't play multiplayer games whether I want to or not, what I'm concerned with is the comments on the graphics,

So the sp campaign should look better? Hope so but I'm no longer going to preorder it just in case

Ok, tried to log in using those details and when I enter them and hit enter, it just returns to the same screen with blank spaces again.

My firewall isn't blocking it at all.

At least I got an account now :D

So will keep trying this to log in now.

Thanks again :)

Does everyone remember how good FEAR looked and felt to play at the time? In my opinion it was a real decent PC game.

Then FEAR 2 came out and it was more like a console game that just happened to be on PC..well CRYSIS 2 feels just like that :(
