***** The Crysis 2 Thread *****

Just tried to create a account on the website its self, not working, probibly overloaded with people wanting to make one
 
i swear how dumb do you have to be to not let people play a demo which will cost you millions in lost sales through such a stupid thing i swear they are employing monkies at ea :confused:

Most of the market is dedicated to multiplayer gaming now, and it's what Crytek was hyping up.
 
I can't see any reason why they made the only three graphics options, 'Gamer', 'Advanced', 'Hardcore'.

A: What's the ******* difference between them? I have to switch to all of them and look at the FPS I'm getting just to know which one is low, medium, and high.

B: The most FPS I can get is ~40, which I think is with Advanced mode, but it still looks amazing. Let me turn the graphics down even more to get 60 FPS please.

Ugh.
 
shafted by another trusted devloper... (not EA, crytek :P )... i wish they would just be honest with themselves and say it was console orientated, you dont get anywhere by lying to people
 
Perhaps everyone, before jumping the gun (though I know you already had your response pre-programmed and were just waiting to unleash it at the soonest possible moment), consider that perhaps for the mass downloadable demo they *haven't* finished everything, maybe they've not even bothered to give you all the textures and graphics settings so the download can be 1.5gb instead of 4?

Just wait for the full game to come out before passing judgement.. Won't be long now :)

Not going off the performance of this demo they won't. The people they had to lie to about the console factor are the very same people clued up enough to even know what the hell they're talking about. It will, on the other hand, probably beat the first Crysis for amount of speculative illegal downloads :p

I understand if they don't give us the best textures, I don't really mind I find the textures fine as they are, but why would they not give us the option to change the graphics settings if they do in the full game?

The fact that all three settings are basically identical and none give me playable framerates on my GTX280 is ridiculous.
 
You are not missing much if you cannot make an account - I really liked Crysis MP/Wars but here the maps are much smaller, the suit dumbed down, and most of the intelligence/skill required gone.
