You think it’s appropriate to title her as a menopausal alcoholic who had recently required a police visit to home? In the national media?
I suspect the police really didn't want to release that much personal information but lets break it down.
She had an alcohol problem if the police are to be believed - that means that the risk factor from accidents is increased by potentially a huge extent, so pertinent.
She was suffering from "brain fog"* related to the menopause - Which means potentially her ability to process information was affected, as with the ability to process risks, so pertinent.
She'd had a police "wellness" visit recently - means there had been concerns for her enough for the police to act previously. Very pertinent and explains a lot about the high level and fast police response to her going missing.
I strongly suspect the police only released the information because all the nonsense speculation from the public was adversely affecting the investigation, or causing the police to have to redirect resources to things like stopping brain donors from trespassing and calling for people to break into local properties.
They've tried to protect her dignity for two weeks, but all that resulted in was people stating that the partner murdered her, or that's she's obviously been abducted and is being held in the nearby abandoned (not) house etc, and had to deal with the likes of youtubers who've been busy trampling around people's gardens at night "looking for her" - something that has probably resulted in a multiple call outs from the home owners (given they've apparently warned, and now arrested and fined one such youtuber for doing it).
It was getting to the point there I wouldn't have been surprised if someone else got hurt either by accident, or on purpose whilst either looking for her, or "trying to get answers" from someone.
*"Brain fog" can be utterly horrible and result in you making stupid decisions and really basic but dangerous mistakes just moving around the house, let along near open water.
