The Division. Are we interested?

No I just don't like being taken for a mug like you lot :)

You want to be lied to and bend over for ubi etc. then be my guest.

If companies can't guarantee that the final release will look like what they "initially" promised/advertised, then don't show any footage at all, as simple as that.

Hyperbole much?

You have seen that the Beta is out next week and those with a beta key can play it before deciding to buy or not, so tell me how we are getting bent over and lied to?

Well we aren't.

People will have time to judge for themselves, no doubt many will go quiet of it turns out to be decent.

I recall non stop crying over witcher 3 - turned out to be OK.

^^ this tbh.

I am still very hyped for this, will be working beta weekend but i am going to make sure i get as much play time in as possible. I really don't see how ubi will get away with a bait and switch this time, the community are so skeptical and distrustful that a negative reaction to the beta will spread over the internet like a rash on your genitals, and have about as much impact on people mood too.

I'm not going to answer that, I have already explained my reasoning more than once in the last few pages...

This is my last say on this until the beta.

If the beta plays great then superb, I will get it regardless of the graphics and if the the graphics are great then even better. I have no doubt that the game is going to be up there with SWBF, however, as confirmed by jackfrags, not e3 2013 good despite some in here making it out like it will be with their politician answers of "just wait and see".

Regardless of all the footage out there now, it doesn't change the fact that ubi showed false footage "initially". I was ****ed with them for doing the same with far cry 3 and watch dogs and likewise for CDPR's witcher 3, for those who didn't follow TW3:

Just one small area of the downgrade:

If PC's back then are capable of showing the divison (as someone pointed out back then the top GPU was a 680), be it at 30 or 60FPS, then PCs today are most certainly capable of playing that 2013 version of the game. If consoles can't handle it then tough, you disable those features for them, not for the PC too.... If people badly want the extra features and eye candy then they will go and buy a decent PC.

As shown by the modding community on guru3d with regards to watch dogs, not only did they enable most of all the missing features but they also got it running much better than what ubi did too.

The Witcher 3 is simply one of the best games ever for me, still doesn't change the fact that we were given a false representation of what the game will look like when released.

I'm not sure why people are finding it so hard to understand what Nexus is saying

I bought a Beta access key for 99p,Claimed it on the devisions website and all appears to be good so i hope it works.

I didn't want to buy the whole game just to see if i liked it or not,Thats what i hate about games these days..no demos!

hmmm doesn't look anything like those recent 4k BS shots to me...yet all these youtubers saying it looks almost like the E3 stuff, not to me it doesn't. I'd actually say it looks just like the xb1 stuff personally. Some might argue that someone photoshopped the OSD or the game was being played on a potato, but even so there's no way your going to get all that extra detail from the 4k shots by turning things to ultra.

Where is the screenshot from Tony?

If that is indeed PC, I really hope that is with everything on low/medium..... BTW, that PC screenshot is 1920x1080. What are consoles running at, 720P?

Oh and would you look at this, those 4k screenshots from UBI:

Just as I said earlier on......

Found some over here

EDIT* You know what mate, someone could have photshopped the purple overlay on those. Magnify the area where the overlay is in the first link, see how around the numbers you have some sort of distortion?? Could those be xb1 shots and someone has done exactly that? The overlay looks really blurry as well.

Im in exactly the same boat as Nexus on this. Why does so much evidence point towards the game looking nothing like the old E3 stuff nor does it look 'spectacular' from these apparent PC screenies floating around. Its just like the XB1 quality with sharper AA, nothing more.

What bugs me even more is if someone out there does infact have access to the PC version, why do they do such a shoddy job capturing images or video? Its not rocket science to record the game on max settings, prove it by capturing the options screen showing the maxed settings and with a program like afterburner or fraps running in the corner showing stats. Then upload to the interwebs and call it The Division running on PC with max settings. Unfortunately it seems the interwebs is full of *******.

EDIT: I lol'd at the Photoshop in the image properties. Nice spot.

Yer it is for some reason. I wouldn't like to speculate why and if it is dumbed down, I am surprised they are going with a Beta in truth. I am still hopeful for settings that come close to the 2103 but being UBI, I would be surprised if it is but then again, the CEO of UBI said they wouldn't do a Watchdogs again, so who knows?

That does actually look alright. It's not E3 levels of alright, but it's alright. I want to see it non compressed though as it looks washed out in the dm video player. And in 21:9.

Yeah it really looks like those photoshopped 4k screenshots doesn't it.....

Looks alright doesn't it, now you know why I've been saying wait and see the PC version...

It looks very meh to me tbh, definitely needs a sweetfx config. Certainly not a patch on the e3 2013 version. At least the gameplay and shooting itself looks very good!

It will be interesting to see if modders can re-enable the removed features....
