I love my D3 setup,but you need high electr to have really good shield,so you should look for Spec backpack,shield mods very often drop in LZ boss'es,shouldnt be a problem.
Ideally you would want MP5 ST,on which you can mount 12x scope for 18% HS ;) :D Sadly that MP5 ST is barely dropping for me,so im using Aug with destr,brutal,responsive,still have 235k dps and its ok'ish,even used this setup in CS run,i remember Gamble laughing how i was going togheter with CS boss and we literally having a duel,but he barely does any damage to me while i quite doing to him,besides guys were able to shoot him from behind 9no pun intended),so he didnt cover himself with shield
 
Even with only 84k skill, it is beast :p But yeah, only reason I am not using my spec. backpack is cause I don't have any other d3 gear, watch now as what I want will not drop at all :p Already had 4 strikers drop today when using AB and now this... Yet when running strikers, about 3 strikers drop in a month...

Had quite a few mp5 ST drop but as per usual, they all get sold, starting to stash a lot of the gear I get now so when I fancy trying something, at least I will have the stuff waiting for me.

Talents are; destructive (rolled this), brutal and competent as my 3rd skill

Not got any of my good attachments on it as they are all on the LVOA atm but that shall be sorted out tomorrow! Will also do a quick run around the light zone bosses.

Strikers still my favourite overall but this d3 is great fun and a bit different.
 
yeh,its fun :D

i have 500k stam if i remember,110ish electr and 220+ dps,but main thing is shield and protection from elites,was running lexi with it and it was sooo easy,need to test it in DZ some day
 
Yeah my stats aren't great as low rolls and poor attributes so need better gear :(

Once I get my spec. backpack on, it should be about 105/110k skill, can't wait to see what it will be like then.

I just loved the boss on CS going toe to toe with you :) Was brilliant looking lol!!!
 
Loving this game so far, just hit lvl 18

one thing though, i thought the max lvl was 30? i saw a guy earlier in a safe house who was 256!
 
Had a complete binge on this today to distract me from flu. During which time I made a superb high-end only build. I was previously using three piece Striker, but despite the loss of 10% AED (now at 59%), I am seemingly cutting through npc's with greater ease. Base stats are - 335k dps, 500k toughness, 115k, which rises to hilarious levels when in cover and/or when the LBC kicks in.

The 256 is Gearscore, not Level. Currently 256 is the maximum Gearscore.

When you hit Level 30 (the maximum level) you unlock World Tiers and Gearscore.

The level of Gearscore items that drop is relative to the World Tier you are in. World Tiers (from 1 - easiest to 5 - Hardest) unlock as your Gearscore improves. So for example, Gearscore 256 items won't drop in anything but World Tier 5, although you can and will get lower Gearscore items than the maximum available in your World Tier. Once you have reached a certain level of Gearscore, you will get a message stating that your next highest World Tier is unlocked. It is then time to go up and start grinding for the higher level Gearscore items.

The Gearscore you see for players is the average across two primary weapons, sidearm and six gear pieces.

Generally, the higher the Gearscore, the better an item is (it hasn't always been this way).

Note that the content available at the different world tiers is identical...just the difficulty level of the content will change (so enemies in World Tier 5 are Level 34 for example).

In summary, the maximum level you can be is 30, the maximum world tier you can play in is 5 and the maximum Gearscore you can have is 256.

Got the 4 piece AB set last night and ran around with that, it's far from perfect roles but gave a good idea of play style and it's just 'meh'

Tempted to try farming up some d3 and try tanking.
 
D3 isn't just tanky, it is also stupidly powerful for damage :D

Stack preferably headshot damage followed by crit damage and make sure you have savage gloves, even with my crap gear/rolls and only 84k skill, the thing just melts people, when crit registers and headshots, the bullet hits for 80/90k

Got a shield 4% damage resilience mod for every slot last night so the shield should stay up for a very long time now.

Also saw a decent AUG at one of the vendors last night too, 1k less damage than my current one but it has deadly instead of competent so I reckon that might suit the build better...

thanks for that, still a bit confusing but im sure ill get it once i hit 30 and start doing these world tiers :D
