I wasn't even aware of until after..

Not sure if any of you still have my old name, was changed to "Comrad Maksim" and navigating to change the in game language to English again was not fun.

Have you spoken to Ubi on chat? They're normally very good with these things.
 
Yeah I have sent a ticket. Have control of the account now. They are quite prompt. Just lost a lot of points, thankfully my gear, build, etc remains as it was.
 
Can someone help .

No sure if its in this thread and really cant and have no time to read every single page so asking here .

I bought this game last night . installed it and started it up today and the intro was in windowed mode . anyway soon as the intro finsihed and i could move and start fireing i went into settings to change the resolution to my laptops res which is 1920x1080 120hz (MSI GTVR73) gaming laptop with plenty enough horse power with GTX1080 and 32gb ram .

i restarted game after doing the settings as it told me to restart as most games do when changing settings .

Now game just starts up with black screen with egg timer for the cursor . no matter what i do i now can not get this game to start . i have done the alt + enter , Alt+tab , alt=F4 ..nothing i have to go into task manager by pressing Alt,ctrl, delete and i have to sign out the laptop to get it to quit ..been at it for like 4 hours trying everything i can find on the net . i even verified game files , all good , even when into settings file to change the resolution and fullscreen mode but nothing .

im now installing on main rig with 1080ti and X34A screen and will see if it loads in this .

if someone can help it would be amazing thanks
 
@killswitch73 I have found that the game sometimes freaks out when a lot of things are changed in one go.

Go to C:\Users\you\Documents\My Games\Tom Clancy's The Division

And delete state.cfg as well as graphic settings.cfg to make sure its back to scratch.

Next, change the resolution first and restart, and work up from there. Also run in admin mode and see how you fair after that.

EDIT: Also, the game can crash on launch if something takes the focus away, so when you click to launch don't touch anything, don't have overlays on etc for the first few launches
 
Worth noting too that if you have MSI afterburner installed try closing that down before opening the game to see if that is the issue..
ive come across a few games in the past where afterburner caused lots of issues so had to be closed and then they ran fine

just something to try
 
Mine randomly closed without error the other day, thought I'd remove reshade but no dice. Verifying the files fixed it though, whatever the issue was.
 
Well don't know how I cured my problem but as I mentioned above in my post (6053) that I was installing on my main rig with ultra wide screen and it worked fine on that then even with overlays and afterburner on for the overlays .

Went back downstairs on laptop and guess what it bloody worked and worked well and now ive got in over 13 hours of gameplay between the 2 machines and no problems .

Wierd one .

And wow the 1080ti is one powerful card .
 
Been away for a long time, how's you lot? I'm so out of touch with the updates I thought I'd ask here:

1. Is there new content coming (missions) or is it game modes/events?

2. Is there any content that requires this new 6 piece gear as in it cannot be done without?

3. What is 1.8?

1.7 is re engagement, and 1.8 is content.

So 1.7 contains:

  • Classified gear - new 5 and 6 piece bonuses with slightly higher main stat rolls. Can be used as replacement pieces for your normal 4 piece, or extended to 5 and 6 piece. If you want to run 5 and 6 you need all classified gear.
  • Commendations - patches, unique vanity etc for completing certain tasks and doing specific activities. Rumoured to be over 500 types and some are retroactive like so on initial 1.7 launch most people will get a bunch of them
  • Seasons - these are global modifiers and activitiy modifiers. The global modifier affects everything, activitiy modifiers are on a mission playlist and are themed. So season 1 is outbreak which is cleaner factions and cleaner based missions. GE modifier is a benefit the player, activity modifiers are a benefit to the player in one way but a hinderence in another way.
  • Seasons are also tied to classified in terms of what drops. Season 1 is Deadeye, Lonestar and Final measure. Season 2 is Striker, Sentry and Reclaimer. 3 a month, and the other 6 pieces aren't released yet.
  • Seasons are the first week of each month where the chance of getting classifieds is higher, then they go into the normal loot pool for the rest of the month at a lower chance
  • Some new survival point methods but nothing major
  • DE balance changes and seeker balance changes
  • Few weapon talent changes etc.
  • Ninjabike is being reintroduced as a wildcard piece. Example, run Ninjabike, 2 PM and 2 Banshee with vigorous and you get Ninjabike, 3 PM and 3 banshee with Vigarous.
  • And other stuff which will be in the global patch notes on Monday


No content requires classified, its just a benefit

1.8 - who knows yet but it is meant to be content and rumours so far have included:
  • Survival revamp and new game modes
  • UG revamp and new game modes. Possible hoard mode, 10 directives were found in the files, and world tier 10 was also found in the files but Massive said they aren't confirmed yet.
  • LS revamp and new game modes
  • Rogue system changes
  • "Stuff we have never played before" quote from an ETF member.

So classified, that's actual new pieces? Adding a 5th an 6th piece to your existing 4 piece won't turn the whole thing into classified? And I heard somewhere that all stats are max?

Only new story content (missions) could bring me back to the game and I'm really hoping the elusive 1.8 will bring that :) I never even did the latest incursion, I realise, ha ha - oh well.
