*** The Division Thread 2.0 ***

@GAM8LE can you recommend a 1.8 build centering around using an M4? i was thinking of running Reclaimer and going in a support role, i guess this is very group viable, how viable is it going to be for solo PVE? i rarely PVP especially solo.

I have been dabbling on and off for the past month or so mainly on my Xbone, but i have the game + season pass on both Xbone and PC, i fancy going at it on the PC again with the latest patch as that PVE Wave thing looks fun, even the PVP DM stuff looks fun to be fair.

Is there going to be any go to builds for this new patch? like i say, preferably something thats going to be utility in a group enviroment, and with the new load out thing i can pack a 2nd build for solo pve i guess? my current setup is Alphabridge and 2 x AR's but i very much doubt im anywhere near optomised on my build, but it should suffice enough to carry me while i focus on something more tuned.

Meh!!!! Out of something like 120 Exotic caches and 60 Weekly caches, I got 1 house gun :( All good fun though but that was the only gun I was really after and wouldn't have minded a couple of them to choose.

I was looking forward to this patch to give the game one last try to keep me coming back.
All seems a bit meh to me once again.
The resistance horde mode is a poor mans cod zombies which isn't saying much tbh.
The underground plays and feels the same as before apart from new directives and the odd hunter showing up which make no difference to gameplay at all really.
Ive no interest in a TDM pvp mode either.
Nothing here to keep me playing at all.

Sounds like nothing this game does will make you like it tbh, I'd skip it and move on I'd you feel that strongly about it.

For me and others this update adds both PvP and pve content that will keep me interested for hours more.

If anything the new pve mode sounds proper fun in a group especially trying to beat your own records if you get a dedicated team etc and then the team PvP also sounds similar.

You will soon find there will be teams of people who will become feared

I can't wait to get started tonight, the update to The Underground sounds good, as someone who has never tried that survival content as quite frankly it never interested me as I'm not a fan of PvP and pve mixed together, I'm keen to meet hunter mobs in underground to see how nasty they are! :)

Besides any free content is only going to make this game even better.

The movement stuff is LOL - they seem to have grudgingly massaged it back towards where it was to the point that in terms of any gameplay mechanics there is no difference but in terms of how the controls feel there is a "heaviness" in strafing and occasionally in turning that wasn't there in the older movement - I hate developer ****wittery like that just put it back to what felt good and be done with it for **** sake.

The optimisation station I like though seems they've made it harder to obtain Div Tech than it needs to be - its good to have some goals in game you can work towards with less randomness, etc.

I might like the resistance stuff with more practise but so far when I've tried it by around 5 minutes in the lag is creeping up (I'm assuming the server(s) it is hosted on are filling up) and its more of a challenging fighting the delayed heals and inconsistency than the NPCs so I just stopped playing it in the end and won't be bothering unless they do something dramatic with the networking - generally I grin and bare it through say one incursion then take a break so endless waves with no end to it is just meh.

My sort of healer fit is running IIRC 3x reclaimer (all classified just for extra stats) and 2x tactician with ninja bag and M4 - 4x 5% support station healing speed mods - for most stuff it gets through while still having some damage - the weapon talents are skill related.

Quick overview of my current support type build - as an alternative if you don't have the bits for a six piece reclaimer - does need ninja bag though - there is a way to achieve similar with a mix of reclaimer and high end bits old school support build style.

Some more skill haste bonuses and an extra ninja bag rolled for electronics, etc. would be an improvement.

EDIT: Probably a few things that could be improved on mind as I'm relatively new to the game.

Played a bit of the PTS, thoroughly enjoying the wave mode. Is it worth maxing out my Gear Score? I have no Classy Nomad or D3 FNC which I loved together.

Its pretty nice on the weapons as you can max the damage and headshot or whatever bonus, etc. also saves those silly rolls on recalibration trying to get the best stamina, etc. number.

Nomad/D3 combo is one of my favourite (non-shield) - playing through Lincoln legendary solo with it is almost therapeutic.

Reclaimer is very good, but if you don't consider classified then tactician has more versatility as a support. Higher SP, higher haste.

Aside from that you can go hybrid High end with skulls, or HE/3piece tactician with 5k-5.5k firearms, 3k stamina, 6.5-7k electronics. That allows for decent weapon talents and also allows for good skill power for stations etc.

@JediFragger is our actual support guy and has some interesting builds. I am pewpew mainly lol

Just got back into this, not really played since underground - what sort of gear sets should i aim for? Normaly just like to drop the dakka with AR/SMG
