*** The Division Thread 2.0 ***

From what I've seen then things will change dynamically in D2 such as control points being taken back by enemies, something that just didn't happen in D1.

Some of the mechanics was not there for D1 Snowdrop engine i believe.

I have quite important issue with D2 tho - if they use upgraded Snowdrop, will they make proper anti cheat this time? Net code with same issues?
I know its to early, but those things in D1 got biggest criticism, hopefully they do something with those issues

They've updated Amherst legendary so you can't speed run it like before - bit mixed feelings on that but I do prefer it so that with randoms you don't get people getting ***** because they are trying to skip bits and others don't and then some quit and it screws everything up, etc.

Patch is a 3GB download in case anyone wanted to know.

Not sure I'm really sold on General Assembly as a legendary though there are a few relatively unused sections of it that would work well upgraded to legendary - shame they haven't upgraded Subway Morgue for higher difficulty as there is a good progression and some nice layout in parts to that one for teams.

There are at least 2 caches with 500 each (or more depending on shield rewards, etc.) - one you get directly the other from resource vendor - the resource vendor has a load of reactivation, etc. caches which might be best to claim on a secondary character unless you just want to crunch stuff for div tech.

EDIT: Burned around 1000 of mine fully optimising my classified reclaimer even though I don't use it that much over my hybrid tactician dps/healer.

Whelp finally did Madison legendary with only one wipe (would have been OK but the game couldn't keep up with me trying to heal :( ) - some annoying disruption at the end and a couple of rushes that are tough if the rest of your team isn't on the ball.

EDIT: General assembly we creamed - but was in a group with 3 other players who played together regularly and were using voice comms and knew what they were doing.

So, I picked this up again last night and was playing a little bit. I'm Lv18, mostly green gear with some blues, but noticed around Lv20 purple items come into play. Is it worth trying to craft the best stuff now or save my mats?

Wouldn't bother saving materials - you'll need the higher level materials once you start making the most of crafting and probably won't be converting much from lower quality materials to higher.

Once I got to like world tier 4-5 I've rarely done any crafting though - get most stuff from caches, etc.

One thing that is bugging me is enemies. Just how the hell can they know exactly where I'm hiding in cover. Long distance headshot with a suppressed SRS Covert which drops the bloke in one and yet all his mates who had their backs turned to me seem to instantly know where I am and manage to put rounds on me.

Yeah stealth/threat level is totally broken :(

I usually run with all suppressors and constantly taking NPC aggro in teams even if the other 3 are using shields which hugely increase their threat level heh - the other day I did one run with a muzzle brake with max threat level instead and was never shot at once LOL.

I was messing about in the DZ awhile back and another player alerted some NPCs while he stood out in the open they all made a bee line for me (I hadn't even fired a shot) hiding out of sight 60m away :(
