*** The Division Thread 2.0 ***

Sounds somewhat like what the planned with the drone but subsequently dropped before the game entered beta.

A player could jump in on a mobile device as a 5th member acting as a drone giving guidance/bits of support.

Did wonder if something like that had been intended from the odds left over stuff you find around the map, etc. and/or partial menu functionality, etc.

Game is unplayable for me tonight :( damage through walls, NPCs meleeing me and doing not damage or 1 hit meleeing me from the other side of the room, health completely random visually to what it actually is, completely random length skill cooldown times, etc. etc.

I wish they'd do a mode for this game with like 4 players + commander (commander has like pulse, etc. and overhead view) using the survival map and weather conditions with landmarks, etc. as well as overall goals/mission to complete where you need the commander to guide you and provide overwatch, etc.

So you can play as Fay Lau? :) She wishes she could get out there and help...

Nice idea. I'd also like to use my 4 toons as team mates - I control 1 and the AI the others, and I can give them orders. Even as basic as Spec Ops - The Line would be ok.

Cheers

This is on offer at the moment, 80% off (the Gold Edition is £15). I have two questions

1.) is it still worth getting?
2.) will I be able to run it, albeit at lower settings, for a few months with my current GPU?

Definitely worth it at that price even just for the "single player" (can be done coop) part of the game from levels 1-30 though the end game content might be a bit more Marmite if it appeals.

Should run on a 660 with low settings fine - I've seen videos of people running it on a 2GB 660 with mostly medium and some high settings and getting 50-60fps most of the time and some slowdowns to around 30fps at times.

On another note holy **** I just had a competent team for Dragon's Nest Heroic!

Cheers @Rroff Yeah, just been watching some videos and it does seem to run OK on this card, plus most of 'em were running on older CPUs than mine too, so my 2600X might afford me a slight increase in performance to what they were getting.

Guess I'll give it a go.

If I were to pick this up again, having only gotten to like Lv15 or something, is it worth making a new toon? I can't remember if you spend skill points or what have you making it worth while to start from scratch to get back into it.

I am not a long time player but have got to level 30 etc haven't played in a couple of weeks but any skills you have chosen you can re-select others if you want to change. No need to create a new character unless you feel the need.

As above you are completely free to change your build as and when you wish, even in combat if you're brave! There's also six 'slots' to create different builds in. I can go from a 10.1k Electronics Firecrest build to a Reclaimer build to Final Measure with a few clicks. No need to re-roll or create a new character if your desired glass cannon or tank isn't working out.

To make it easier in combat you can do stuff like planing loadouts around interchangeable gloves so you don't need to adjust mods, etc. i.e. I've got a few builds setup so I can quickly trade out the normal glove for a nomad one for the health on kill bonus if things go sideways and I have to try and bailout the rest of the team to avoid a wipe.

Just bought the Gold Edition, £12 as I forgot I had £3 sat in the wallet. Now I have to wait ages for my crappy, slow internet to download it. Really wish we lived in a country where high-speed internet was actually a priority, because living in the middle of a big City and having no access to fibre is an absolute ******* joke in the 21st century.

Not a bad game this, only a few hours and a few missions in but it's looking good. Now I can't wait to drop a new GPU in and knock the sliders up. I'm guessing a 1070 would be able to max it at 1080p.

4820K + 1070 - I've a couple of settings down a notch from max but most are maxed and comfortably 60+ FPS at 1440P - couple of bits like the middle of Times Square legendary it drops to around high 40s when it gets really busy. A lot of the time I'm seeing 90-110 FPS though.
