The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

as a warrior build i tend to have problem against magic tho using the right standing stone helps though. there is one that lets you absorb -50% magic damage.

The Atronach Stone just south of windhelm.
"+50 Magicka, 50% absorb spells, Magicka regenerates 50% slower."

She was a great fight. Had to use my Dragonskin power, flame atronach, ward and good ol' offensive magic to take her out, along with a healthy batch of magicka potions (because you run dry in 5 seconds early game and magicka regen is worthless), whatever resistance potions I had at hand and some long lasting regen food and others. Well, I started off using Wards anyway, then realised it was easier to just dodge her attacks and stop wasting mana on them.

Can someone explain how weapon recharging works? Even in Obiobioibn I couldn't work out soul gems and enchanting.

Atm I am a Lv48 Sword/Shield warrior with depleted charges on all my weaps. My enchanting is about 40'ish at present. I have been disenchanting magical items as I obtain them though.

Managed to finish the Imperial/Stormcloak storyline last night, which was cool as I managed to finally get the cool house in Windhelm - easily the best house, it's just a shame you can't fast travel directly to it :/

select the weapon in the inventory and hit "T" then choose which soul gem you want to charge it with, repeat until its fully charged.

when you first enchant a weapon, you can choose between the strength of the power or the number of charges, so you can decide there if you want max power and to use a lot of soul gems, or a subtle power and long lasting.

Some powers really use the charge up very fast (health absorb for e.g) so I try and save those for big fights.

Does anyone know if its possible to find another Dragonbane sword? I really want to dual wield these bad boys :D.

I noticed that Esbern is carrying one but I cant seem to pickpocket it from him. Would it be possible if I had the pickpocketing skill that allows you to pickpocket equipped weapons?

Ah you're a star nice one. I didn't even notice the mention of T when you have a weapon selected. Useless UI.

Can someone kindly help me with improving my daedric armour. When I go to the workbench it lets me improve to epic but not legendary. Do I need to improve my smithing from 90 to 100 for legendary to become available, or perhaps I have to improve to epic first and then legendary?

Yes, I'd imagine it needs to be 100. Also, level up your alchemy and make a good fortify smithing potion (100% plus if possible).

Its about the skill you have at the time.. So you could try using a smithing potion and Smithing buffing ring/gloves/necklace etc and see if you can bump it to legendary directly without levelling further.

I am not much into the pick pocketing, but if you can not steal an equipped weapon, perhaps you can add a "better" weapon to his inventory thus forcing him to unequip the Sword?

It should be possible, I'm pretty sure I've sold on 2 of these at least, they were no match for my dual daedric maces (although I admit they do look good).

Invisible stormcloaks!!!!

Currently doing the quest to take over windhelm, big epic battle and all that. But some of the stormcloaks just don't seem to be visible!
Incredibly infuriating, I have no idea how I died that last time either, there wasn't even an enemy next to me on the radar...

Thanks guys. Do you mean my smithing skill or overall skill level which is 36? And where would I get a smithing potion and smithing apparel? I only have blacksmiths potion and draught.

Its the smithing skill level and relevant perks you need.

You can make, loot or buy the potions and the items are found in loot or possibly bought from a vendor. I found mine.

The UESP Smithing page guide to improvements:

Quality, Without Perk, With Perk.
Fine, 14, 14
Superior, 31, 22
Exquisite, 65, 40
Flawless, 100, 57
Epic, 134, 74
Legendary, 168, 91

So the highest you can get without a perk is Flawless at 100 Smithing, then you need Fortify boosts of 68%+ to reach Legendary.
With the perk you need 91, so just over how much you need to take Daedric Crafting, to hit Legendary. Easy enough to go from ~70-80 for Glass/Ebony and use fortify effects to boost it to Legendary.

I suppose I can get my smithing, which is 90, to 91 by making more iron daggers, that wouldn't take long. I have 2 perks to spend or is it talking about some other perk?

edit: Aha! Yes, just got myself to 91 smithing and it now will create legendary since I have those 2 perks in hand. Thanks for the help all! :)
