The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Sssh Don't let Evilsod see this! :D

Yes because I'm the only one in the thread likely to object to glitching/exploiting

Just went into Blackreach... man that place is huge. Could see it looking pretty damn epic with infinite draw distance so you could see all along it. Kept getting distracted from my quest and finding loads of loot and skillbooks ><

I was just kidding mate :)

Where is it? I keep hearing about that place. Or do you only get to go during a particular quest?

That's reminded me I need to go back there to check if the crimson nirnroots have re-spawned.

2 words. Main quest.

Had a fun encounter with 2 people outside the entrance. They attacked each other so I intervened... by shooting them both a Paralysis Poison (2 charges on Poisons is nice) and pewpewing them to death while they were on the ground helpless :p

I'm about halfway there atm but running around for ages trying to find em is a little tedious, specially when you keep getting sidetracked by random small buildings with potential loot ><

Took me a moment to remember who Sinderion was. Nice touch there.

Perfect thank you.

One other thing, reading the beginners guide it says you can sheath your weapon to "yield", coming from action games I'm not into yielding, are there some enemies you can't beat or is there some advantage to yielding?

If you are being attacked by the guards, sometime you can yield to them so you can pay the fine/go to jail/resist arrest etc.

Quick question, I have recently joined the DB and have just started the first 3 contracts, already killed Nazrif due to previously finding his daughters remains for a side quest. Anyway, the armor you get from the DB, what are peoples thoughts on it? Best light armor in game?

Also, have the quests been fixed or are they still bugged?

I prefer the Nightingale.. but its as well to mix and match sets depending on what you are doing. When I use Light Armour Its normally the +25 Sneak or + 35 Bow hoods (I think they are TDB), and body/glove/boots from Nightingale. But I also have some Foreswarn +20 bow bracers I use at times, and TDB gloves (2x backstab dmg?)

Have you found the other random TDB armours in the room where Astrid usually is? on the shelf with the books etc

Can someone do me a favour and if they haven't added any mods to their game can they open C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data

Does it have anything in that folder? I've been playing with mods and have noticed a few textures are now screwy so want to remove all mods and start again rather than working out what combination caused it.

I vaguely remember that folder was empty before I started modding - is that the case? If so I can just delete everything in there to remove all mods.

Ta.

Oh :( So I am a lowly level 12 with my new assassin right now, and will be with this armor for a longggg time then? :( I like upgrading :(

As for the other sets of armor, I did not know that! Thanks, will check it out tonight on yet again, another money saving night in of Skyrim.

Not saying the TDB stuff isnt good, but I did the TG and Nightingale quests before hand, so it was rather redundant for me by that time.

You could also try to Smith some Light armour with enchantments you prefer.

WTF? Skjor died 100 hours ago or so in the companion quest, yet he's back and walking around in Jorvaskr?

I'm now onto my 4th mission from him even though he's supposed to be dead haha. Doing lots of "escaped criminal" and "family heirloom" quests. Do they just go on and on or is there an end and result to them?

I'd like to know this. I keep getting "animal in house" quests. Quite boring. Go here, kill thing, come back.

I dont think they lead anywhere, just repeatable quests for gold and something to do. Same with the Vix and Delvin quests at TG

I got mine from gamestation at a fair price.

To be honest, you might think it's a bit steep but honestly, everytime I turn the 360 on the play I pull up the strat book next to me with the strat map just incase I get really stuck!

Not only that but reading through sort of the 'introduction' to the game and what they suggest really opens your eyes to things that might have been very small to you.

The guy who made that video has some pretty sweet videos on his channel.

The best bet with arrows is to give your companion one of whatever arrow it is you want and they will continually fire them. The only problem though is that it seems as if the enemy NPCs are able to start shooting those arrows back at you as well once they get hit with one.

difference with the Theives Guild is that every 6th or 8th mission, a special mission appears where a client wants something done. Once that's done, they give their backing to the guild. Do four of those and the guild is back to full strength ;)
