The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

I guess you read it on an Oblivion site not a Skyrim site :). Good Skyrim site here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Skyrim

To get the horse (Shadowmere) in Skyrim then you need to join the Dark Brotherhood. It takes quite a few quests before you get him/her... To start the Dark Brotherhood questline you need to kill someone then go to sleep :)

I joined the Dark brother after doing an assassintion mission for a kid in Windhelm. After I completed the job, I went to an inn and rented a bed. Went to sleep and it all started from there :p

Don't be, after all he still tries to kill you :p

Could make an awesome Dark Brotherhood squad. Cicero as a follower, Lucien as the spectral ghost follower and Shadowmere as the derranged horse that kicks dragons to death.

I just got Shadomere tonight, great horse, will attack anything :D

Is there any way to get Shadowmere back if he dies? I accidently got him killed when i decided to take on all the Markath guards :o

According to: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Shadowmere

"Unlike the Shadowmere present in Oblivion, this version of Shadowmere is not Essential and can die. However, 15-20 days later, Shadowmere will respawn in the location of death."

Have just "unlearnt" a few perks and re-added them, way too far into the game to re-start, and havent "cheated" as such, as they are perks i was wanting to use but then because of my play style havent touched, havent gone and made all the best armor etc and then reset the whole tree :p

Going to hit 50 and then plod on with the main quest a bit i think :)

Yeah i did read an oblivion site by mistake, thank you Fanatic, and evilsod for being so kind, and helping me in the right direction, thank you both for the help, take care.

I don't really see the point in the Fire/Frost Breath shouts. The only time I've ever used Fire Breath is against those ******* Ice Wraiths (I can clear out Silver Hand compounds without an issue but 2 Ice Wraiths kill me without even trying ><) since Unrelenting Force doesn't affect them at all. Guess it could be I need higher ranks of the shouts but I've only ever found one so far.

I've been travelling back to the Greybeards quite often though lately to go searching for Words of Power they've found. Course the problem is now that I have 1 Dragon Soul spare and about 5 shouts to unlock :p

The fire shout is great. I use it most of the time on dragons which are mostly frost dragons and it really hurts them. I've got 14 shouts all unlocked, comprising 27 words of power, and 17 spare dragon souls. :p
Ice wraiths are best killed with a one handed sword, piece of cake.

Tell that to the stupidly high damage ice spell they use (ok stupidly high cos I'm on Master but you get the idea ><). Don't seem to be having any trouble with the other creatures anymore but those things are a pita. Awkward to hit and the spell is deadly. I've still only got the basic version of the Breath shouts so I guess its not a very good indicator.

Just picked up the Otar dragon mask. Should be a nice fit for my char as its Heavy Armour and pretty high base armour, just need to up it to Legendary and the 30% Fire/Shock/Frost resistances will be very handy on top of the 50% while blocking when facing dragons. Killing it was a bitch though. Had to spam the hell out of it with shield bashes to keep it interrupted as much as possible but even then it was severely draining mine and Lydia's hp with its Lightning spells.

Yeah they're definitely tricky to pin down. It's a real timing thing.
To be fair, master must be pretty challenging. I'm on expert but can't remember the last time I killed a wraith, whether it was on adept or expert. I'll go find one, put my difficulty to master, and see what happens. There was a book I found during the game which did say that wielding metal is the best way to kill an ice wraith. That's the way I've done it so far, and my sword does 15 points of burning, which helps.

Awesome, I just decided to go back to the midden and try out an atronach forge recipe consisting of 4 items, and saw a staff magically appear on the dais. Walked up to it and it's a staff of frost atronach. I've been wanting a permanent frost atronach for ages. :D

And while I'm at the forge, the atronach forge manual gives me 3 recipes using precious stones and various salts for conjuring a fire, frost or storm atronach. The manual says that the summoned atronachs will fight the first thing it sees. And that's what happened when I conjured a storm atronach, it started fighting me. What's the point in that?

Yeah I've seen that book. Can't really take what the books say word for word though. Melee weapons are decent but the spells they use are nasty, bows are much safer if you have the slow-time zoom.

Theres apparently a bunch of recipe's dotted around Skyrim but I've never so much as found even one. The complete list is on the UESP, I used it to craft myself a Summon Storm Atronach spell book on my mage and its quite easy to make. You can also use it to craft yourself Daedric gear but they all require you to complete the Conjuration Master Trials first.

Just ******* a necromancer outside a dungeon and stripped her of her robes. Went in and cleared the the dungeon and came out to find her gone. Thing is, I have the nude mod. Does this mean she has re-spawned somewhere with no kit on?! Arf..:D
