The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Max Von Sydow: Esbern

I recognised his voice straightaway, for older members he played Ming The Merciless in Flash Gordon and Lamar Burgess Minority Report, if you're a little younger.

Joan Allen, who was in Face Off, does the voice for Delphine

The voice acting in this game is superb. Apart from the annoyance of so many characters being repeatedly voiced with the same actors, it's the best I've ever heard. Cicero, the nutty keeper dressed like a jester in the dark brotherhood sanctuary, must be a very accomplished shakespearian actor.

He got on my nerves so much I tried to kill him, but it seems he can't be killed.

Lol, just keep playing.

He got on my nerves at first but after a while he grew on me. Quite easily the most unique and in-depth character in the game.

My personal favourite is if you read his diaries. Theres a mention of him posing as an Adoring Fan so he could kill the Arena Champion :D

I quite like Mjoll - she has LOADS of random snippets and stuff to say. She doesn't like me breaking into places though, even if I don't intend on stealing anything for myself! :p

I don't mind the fact that there are only a number of people cast as the whole country, that is just a budget constraint.

What I do mind is that different actors read the same lines, that is just shocking. Apart from the obvious 'arrow to the knee' the whole becoming a Thane speech is word for word identical from each Jarl, why not jut change it a bit? This was really noticeable as I was finishing up on my miscellaneous quests and got four Thane-ships in quick succession.

"Some may call this junk, me, I call them treasures!"

Agreed, they should have told the actors they could ad-lib a bit, it would have added so much more depth.

I need a mod to shut the female blacksmith next to Warmaiden's up... she drives me mad when I'm trying to smith some gear!!!!

Could be worse. Ever tried using the Alchemy lab inside Arcadia's before you get your own in your house? Christ she never shuts the hell up, repeating the same few lines over and over.

I've discovered my new favourite companion! On my old character, I had Lydia follow me around for a bit, before she got munched by a dragon.

I'll spoiler the next bit, as it's a quest related on the "Lost Dog" thing from Lod in Falkreath.

Once you go hunting for Clavicus Vile's axe with Barbas the talking dog, as long as you don't return the axe to CV's shrine and complete the quest, Barbas will continue to follow you. Since he's an essential quest item, he's invincible!

The only way he can be killed is with the Rueful Axe, so be careful around him if you're using the weapon.

He's a bit annoying because he keeps knocking me over, but he's useful to "tank" in close combat while I snipe from afar with arrows. Tempted to tell him to stop following me as having an invulnerable companion feels a bit like cheating...

I used to be a Dragonborn like you before a talking dog head-butted me in the knee and knocked me off a cliff.

Yeah, I went to go and get a drink and didn't pause my game and came back in the middle of getting gang banged by animals that he head butted me in to.

"I help my father in more ways than you can imagine"

I'm sure that I'm not the only 1 who thought "incest" when I heard that line.

Lol :D I can't even figure out how it was meant to sound because practically the only connection she has with her father is you giving him a sword for the Jarl. It sounds so... wrong

Or , "I work with my mother, to sell fruits and vegetables. It's fun most days, bu.." *crunch* warhammer to head. Shut up stupid girl. :D

Haha that was the first thing I thought! Potty-mind! :D

I tried my trademark mace to the face but it didn't work, by default you can't kill children. :( What the hell is that all about? By the way - they all have the same faces so I'm assuming that the Skyrim Gene Pool is more of a Gene Puddle....

I'd kill Belthor's simpleton if I was doing an evil playthrough tbh.

EDIT: Sweet Jesus, I've spent 97 hours on this game now, and I'm level 44!
