The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

I was literally just going to post this.

Agree that it is SO cool. Although I feel that some of the stuff would be overpowered - some of the sneak archer stuff for example...

Hoping it's kind of included in whatever the first DLC is (not just this obviously, but it would be a nice part of it)...

YES! They need to release most of this in DLC! Snow footprints is awesome and something I wondered about the first time I walked in snow.

I don't particularly have any issue with how the gameplay works, but I would certainly appreciate more graphical updates - like the snow. I also massively want the build your own house option, as currently, I'm really considering the Dovahkiin hideout mod...

Anyone with any experience of said mod give any feedback (figured I may as well ask)...

Yeah, I want Mount & Blade style horse combat! :D :D :D

Yeah man, always loved the satisfaction of M&B's horseback combat. Smashing a long waraxe into someones face while going full pelt, yes please.

EDIT: I couldn't say how pleased I was to see spears in again, sorely missed them since Morrowind

Had the hideout mod for five days now and its awesome, still a few niggles but a must have.

The Hideout mod is cracking, totally over the top, but cracking nonetheless. It's had a few bugs but the guy is updating daily and the latest (0.5.5) is pretty much there.

Just another quick question about Hideout mod, have people had issues with it deleting your stuff when it updates? or no?

Also, I'm giving in to modding, as I'm now willing to compromise the stability slightly as I'm pretty close to 'completing' most of the main achievements...

Are there any massive 'bug fix mods' out yet? Als need a couple of nice graphical ones, that don't crash, and don't have too much of a negative effect on performance (although my 480 is coping fine atm...)- preferably the ones available via Steam community, what are people recommending?

hey guys, if anyone has done the companion questline, i need a pointer

where does all your gear get hidden when you first accept the werewolf blood and attack the silverhand fort? i've done the mission but im currently wandering around in a towel

You make it sound like your arm was forced. Why is it people like you and evilsod more often than not have this sort of insulting, slightly aggressive attitude, implying people are dumb. Some people, including myself are sometimes lazy or sometimes a bit dumb, yes. Either help or don't, but don't be rude about it, keep it fun. Remember, it's just a game.

Meh, it was a general thought, not really directed at anyone in particular.

Which is why I help out whenever I can, regardless of whether I think someone is too lazy or retarded to find the answer themselves in shorter time than it would take posting a question. :p

Got to level 100 sneak and have all the sneak perks now :D

Comically overpowered but makes the way iv played the game more amusing!

Thieves guild is much better than the dark brotherhood so far too

This announcement (Adobe Acrobat format) announces the winners of the 15th annual Interactive Achievement Awards (IAAs). The big winner this year was The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Bethesda's RPG sequel:
The night’s big winner was The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which grabbed Game of the Year honors and a total of five (5) awards in recognition of its excellent storytelling and extensive and immersive world. Other big winners included the blockbuster Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, which was recognized for technical achievements that brought the game to life, walked away with a total of three (3) IAAs. Likewise, the cross-over hit puzzle-platformer Portal 2 walked away with three (3) IAAs. The energetic motion game Fruit Ninja Kinect sliced and diced the competition to come out on top as Casual Game of the Year. Continuing to be a hot topic in the industry, Social and Mobile gaming took flight with Infinity Blade II taking Mobile Game of the Year and The Sims Social winning Social Networking Game of the Year.

I actually approve of those awards.

All of the games deserved them. Not sure about fruit ninja and the sims though...

Hey guys, I really need some help.

I have a quest, and I need to speak with someone in that city on the left, which I don't recall the name.

But as soon as I enter in the city the guards became hostile, and they are also extremely powerful, at least against magic.

How could I get in touch with the NPC that I need to talk to. Or, yet, make the guards don't attack me.
