The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

For those after Jazbay Grapes, have a look south of Windhelm around Witchmist Grove & Steamcrag Camp, must've found a good 7 or so bushes of the stuff without even really looking.

Cheers. Witchmist grove is one of the places on my map I've been meaning to go to. Yeah, I read Eastmarch is the place for those grapes, and Eastmarch seems to be that eastern area encompassing Windhelm and surrounding places.

If you go south of Kynesgrove (south of Windhelm where you go early on in the main quest) there are loads of Jazbay Grapes scattered around the area.

Yeah dragons jump in difficulty big time once you get to ancients, giants (and mammoths - who I think hit harder than giants and have more health as well) on the other hand are pretty much fixed difficulty from the outset, so they'll scare the noobies, but in time you'll outstrip them.

Just did a test for giggles. I pretty much know already that if an ancient dragon takes 2 bites out of me when I'm at full health and buffed up, if I don't back off / heal, then my odds of surviving the next bite are about 20% (not good). Reduced to 0% if I take any breath damage (may not even make it to the 3rd bite).

On the other hand I just buffed up and stood next to a giant and let him wail on me, and it took him 8 hits to kill me. Earlier in the game any power-hit from them would guarantee I'll be sent into the clouds.

Sadly, even a horse can put up a good fight against early dragons.. which is like watching a mouse KO a cat. So wrong.
I can kill giants fairly quickly - spamming firebolt and running around rocks and they'll die. But they shouldn't really be stronger than dragons anyway. I mean, how are the guys that are taking over the world getting owned by a few random giants.

I really do miss some of the spells and scrolls from Morrowind. I wonder if anyone will be doing magic mods to bring them back (eg: Levitate). Those crazy fortify athletics scrolls I found in Seyda Neen made me laugh. :D

I'm level 42 now and everything has turned to easy mode.

:(

I have maxed archery smithing and enchanting. This means I have super gear with archery buffs and I can take down anything before it gets near me.

There's apparently a tribute to the lady of the lake between whiterun and silent moons camp. A skeleton arm sticking above the water holding a sword.

Yup, it's not v far from Whiterun in a small pool. Stumbled across that really early on and thought it was

Ah good, had been getting the 'loss of controls' thing a lot lately, even when just entering a shop without doing any of the other listed things - hopefully whichever bug they squashed there will deal with the similar ones not mentioned too.

Noticed it can strike either mouse or keyboard (though usually not both), and if it knackers the keyboard, I can't even alt-tab or ctrl-alt-del my way out of it.

In other news, accidentally rediscovered how much of a difference Marked for Death makes towards an Ancient's vulnerabilities (whilst trying to experiment with something else entirely..!). Even with my weapons at half strength due to loss of mods, still took it down so fast it didn't know what had hit it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvi7MQ0DDI8

Meanwhile I'd been letting a troll have its wicked way with my horse, and then do a victory dance in front of me after choking the last life out of it. Thankfully it was just an experimental fight/encounter and I went back to my savepoint afterwards :D

I done the same, iirc my deadric armour had a defence of around 360, and my one handed sword had around 150.
I just stored mine in my house, and made some bog standard ebony armour with no enchantments.
Much more of a test.

Yeah, it's gotten that way for me now at level 57, 630 armour and 150+ weapon damage. Fortunately I did the largest parts of the game while there was still some combat challenge.

Yeah, found it last night :) http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/1317/ladylake.jpg

I also discovered Skyrim Ruins and there's a pretty cool view of Winterhold College behind it. http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/3723/skytempleruins.jpg

Oh and that clear skies shout is great. Whenever it's miserable, overcast, raining or snowing, it really does bring the sunshine back, at least, some of the time.

Ebony Armour? o.O Or is it Ebony Mail?

Personally as an idea if you're getting bored with your armour. You could just store it away somewhere and get a new set of slightly weaker stuff. Like create a new set of dragonscale and just don't enchant/smith it as much...

No, mine's daedric armour. I gave my ebony mail to Lydia. Tbh, I still love the game but I'm quite happy to breeze through it now and finish off various quests quicker, then close this chapter and reclaim my life back, or at least move on to another game, hard as that will be after such an epic journey :p

Weird. 55 hours since I started and not a single crash or even a serious glitch. Then last night within 10 mins I had a dragon get stuck in the ground, Riften guards attacking me for absolutely no reason, then a crash to desktop to round it off. No changes to the system, no mods running, no tweaks.....100% the same

I've tried to play all the way through on Master difficulty but it get a little too hard.

Especially when I have to face 2 Draugr Deathlords and 1 Dragur Scourge at the same time without Lydia or a companion. :\

im so loving this game but i now have a problem
im using the saarthal amulet, im trapped in the room
i have to use a spell and fire it at the wall, when i fire the spell, the game freezes
