The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Anyone know if it's possible to rollback to previous version 1.4.21.0.4 without a reinstall?

NMM can't sort the load order atm (am aware of the SKSE work around)

Amazing, you can actually go to the very east border of skyrim from forelhost, unblock the invisible game wall, and do a flythrough of morrowind, cyrodiil, vardenfell, specific mountains and landmarks.

does this mean it will be possible for modders to unlock this? i mean imagine the past games in this engine....

Been playing this for about 6 hours now. I now know I am not a true RPG player, dont get me wrong, the game is really good, the environment, the graphics, the gameplay, its all there but for me, its just not there quick enough. As soon as I started playing, all I wanted to do was Fus Ro Dah people off cliffs lol!

So, I cheated...out came the awesomeness of pc gaming....the command console.

Theres just too much running around for me, so I got everything I wanted pretty much straight away - Unrelenting Force, a horse, loads of gold, dragon souls and magicka and then started playing the game. Now Im enjoying it, I can take on pretty much anything and just have fun playing. This confirmed it for me, Im not a true RPG player, I can enjoy RPG's like Skyrim, but only if I cheat.

Which also means you'll be bored of it in 1/10th of the time.

The true RPG players are saying Skyrim isn't even a true RPG compared to earlier elder scroll games, that Skyrim has watered down elements of RPGness.
Skyrim is seen more like an action/adventure/FPW (first person wielder) than an RPG.

Well you can play a game however you see fit. :) Particularly with console commands, that's the beauty of pc gaming. I certainly wouldn't judge you on fast forwarding the game to suit your enjoyment. But don't you like to savour a game, enjoy what it has to offer by discovery and challenge rather than almost using god mode? Also bear in mind that you can fast travel everywhere after you've discovered a location so the amount of running around can be reduced greatly.

OMG :eek::eek::eek::D:D:D

Look up Gamer Poop:Skyrim full version on youtube, hahahaha

Tears :eek::eek::D

Fantastic, Im glad they have started making Skyrim ones, the older ones like the LA Noire versions have me in stitches.

PMSL at 2:20 - "Get your groove on soldier, these boys work hard and they play harder."

But nobody cares what they think, they would moan about anything. They are so scared of change it isn't funny!

Very true. I read the official forums and the level of seriousness and criticism for this game and how it doesn't live up to the expectations as being a proper RPG is unbelievable. How it's all dumbed down, doesn't give the player enough choices or decisions to make an impact on the player and the course of the game, and how anything less than 800 hours worth of gameplay makes it substandard, lol.

The thing that really annoys me is the attitude of "Morrowind had Spears and Skyrim hasn't. ITS BEEN DUMBED DOWN" ...Spears were useless!

Same with the debate about there not being birthsigns which took place before the game was released, if anything it is simpler but still much better implemented in Skyrim imo.

Hardly. Its simply been done to eliminate as many permanent decisions as possible so as not to tax the brain of the (below) average player.
Birthsigns were a permanent decision you made when creating your character to supplement the class you were aiming for or to be something more generic.
Standing Stones you can change any time you want so basically what you do is use the class stone you want for a bit, maybe swap to the Lover Stone if you use skills from all the groups, then probably wind up on The Steed because it gives such a big buff compared to the others.

One thing that struck me though. Wasn't there lots of talk pre-release about how the skill system increased your health/magicka/stamina as you levelled up skills based on what they were? What happened to that system exactly to replace it with the crappy +10H/M/S per level system we have now?
