The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

What are everyones thoughts on the DLC coming out for Skyrim?

I still play Skyrim on a semi-regular basis.

Absolutely love it. Vampires have been in a good number of Elder Scrolls games, but not much lore about them all considered.

Much prefer this than Dwarven or the Falmer storylines.

Besides, it's always good to play as an evil character every so often. I had so much fun being an assassin that it's my new style of play over a knight. There is something quite awesome about sneaking around taking the perimeter guards out with a stealthed bow, then going inside and slitting peoples throats in the dark from behind. You don't get that buzz when you go in with a sword and shield and face your opponent with honour.

Perhaps I'm turning to the dark side as I get older. But playing as an evil wraith certainly has a lot of appeal for me.

Hail Sithis!

Is Dawn Gaurd the DLC with the vampires in it?

Indeed it is, and my plan is to take out the sun! I only ever venture out at night anyway, so much better to sneak attack from behind. The satisfaction of taking out a heavily armoured Orc with an only a dagger (enchanted perhaps) Orc wielding an ebony war axe in one go takes my breath away.

Hehe, I'm very tempted to go for the evil vampire character for the DLC.

I have been a long time fan of the Elder Scrolls series - although Morrowind was the first Elder Scrolls game I ever played.

I still have loads of places to investigate and look around in Skyrim and might be a welcome break during my revision this weekend. So much revision to do, but it's the last part of my CCNA course, so I need to wrap it up.

Nothing wrong with new content :).

Wondering how they are going to do it; new area like Shivering Isles, or just new locations in Skyrim. I might actually try being a vampire, never really bothered in Oblivion or Skyrim so far. Tried Werewolf, but when I was stopped by some cobwebs I thought "never again". :)

I'll have a look, ta. The game's fresh out of the box still, so I haven't looked at mods yet. To be honest, I'd love to play a game I don't have to mod!

Holy ****. The new DLC trailer looks amazing.

I don't know how much more impressed with an Elder Scrolls game I can be with Skyrim. It's like they took all the hopes and wishes I had and made it into a game.

Hey skyrim players. I hope to join you lot in playing skyrim soon. After getting my upgrade Graphics card ("What GPU for me" in graphics cards part of forum)

After reading several benchmarking reviews of the card i'm getting, it says i should be able to run skyrim on med-high settings on a medium sort of resolution. I've played Oblivion, enjoyed it quite a lot too so skyrim is definately on my list.

So i was wondering, Is there any MUST-HAVE mods to get? i've looks in the steam workshop a few pages, saw one that adds/moves crafting tools to the upper level of the skyforge, whatever that is. looks like a useful mod. Any other must-haves?

Annoying that my current favourite game is the only one that stutters badly with my GTX670 :(

I had some major issues with my spec, stuttering like mad so I played around a bit and tbh I've got it running pretty well.

If you're using ENB do this:

[LIMITER]
WaitBusyRenderer=true
EnableFPSLimit=true
FPSLimit=58.0

and also turn off the mouse accelleration.

Pretty sure those are the two things I've done that have made my game run awesomely and I'm running quite a lot of HD mods and changes.

You don't have to, it's fantastic out of the box. The mods just take it "to the next level" (dons cheesy american 80s outfit).

Awesome mate, thanks. I have mine set to 60 so I'll try 58.

Out of curiousity, what is the difference between capping at 60 and Vsync with a 60hz screen?
