The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

DOF is working with the TV_ENB just not with the other enb I've been using. Yeah the rendertarget is set to 1.. the DOF was working but it was like when I looked at peoples faces, it didnt want to focus in on it.. I dont know, it was just odd.

Will see how I feel about it, I think the lighter screenie of the two makes the trees look faker and stand out to much

Have recent patches removed the ability to take torches from walls? None of the ones in my 34 hours of gameplay this time have let me take them.

And I've only heard "I used to be an adventurer like you..." once this time :(

Dawnguard looks amazing and is everything i couldve wished for from an expansion.

On another note had a serious problem with mods atm. Suddenly my game started CTD'ing every time I tried to load a save. After recognising this was probably mods and disabling them one by one I narrowed it down to any mod thats adds or changes landmasses such as homes etc. Any ideas why this might be?

This can happen with mods, especially after an update... did you load the 1.6 beta patch?... or maybe you have two mods that clash.

I had major issues after removing and replacing similar mods and in the end had to restart the game, as I has so many problems.

I think its best to settle on a few good mods and them try to leave things alone, as much as possible, particularly ESP files.. generally textures and things like ENB are fine to fiddle with with out too much risk.

If you start a game with your mods loaded, and do not add mods to an existing save, you will likely not have any problems really. Plus a clean-save whenever adding/removing mods to an existing save is definitely advisable.

Luckily I am at a stage now where I have tried pretty much every mod on there, so I can start a game with the mods I know I will like and do not add any during the game....though it is hard to resist adding new ones as they come out.

Errr, which SKSE version are you guys using? The current release build (1.4.15, compatible with runtime 1.5.26.0 on 26 March 2012) or the beta release build (1.5.8, compatible with runtime 1.6.87.0 on 26 May 2012 with Papyrus Support)?

The top link.

If you want an easy to follow guide on how to get it looking good, try STEP. Much of it does not affect performance, and you do not have to follow it exactly, just pick what you want. plus the guide has links to all the mods it recommends.

Do you have a sound card?

One thing that helps prevent crashes is set sound settings to 44khz.
Also when you teleport to any ware don't mount yer horse within first 5 seconds.
Disable auto save also helps.

I do have a sound card yes. But I'v never had to mess about with it before.

Its not that the sound stops, its that the game freezes especially after loading of a new level for example after going through a door.

Nope not got the beta. Also I dont think its clashes as even if i just have one player home ticked for example it still crashes. Just seems to be any form of new land that causes it. Things like Draikic vampires works just fine...however as soon as i add anything like the Asteria it breaks. Rather annoying.

Skyrim is known to crash with sound that is not set at 44. (Don't just mean the looping sound crash). It can cause freezing and crash to desktop.

I'm having trouble with the Thieves Guild quest line. I've just completed the quest where you have to collect debt for Brynjolf. He told me to follow him after I completed the quest and this is where I'm stuck. He walks into the Ragged Flagon Cistern and if I go in there everyone attacks me and I don't know how to get around this.

I can't get in there to talk to Mercer Frey to start the quest Loud and Clear.

Anybody know why I keep getting attacked whenever I go in there? Any help is appreciated.

No idea do you have any mods installed or have a bounty?
