The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

As an archer, what star sign should I have? I feel like I am leveling up FAR to fast. I am almost level 10 and I have barely done anything. Currently using the Thief stone.

The Steed or The Lady.

The Steed will be good for you getting out of dangerous situations, as it essentially makes you move faster, and as a bonus it gives you increased carry weight.

The Lady gives you much faster stamina and health regeneration, which will help you cover longer distances, block and power attack more as well as take more damage.

I would very much like to try out COT and a good ENB but I've got sounds of skyrim installed and RLWC, and pretty sure if I take them off its gonna bork the game up. Character is level 69 so it would mean a huge step backwards going back to the beginning.

Thanks Latex... i will end up succumbing to this, and giving my new 7950 3Gb a workout with Skyrim looking amazing, once I've got it installed! (being delivered in less than an hour)

Agnes, I always find the Elder Scrolls games level really quick to begin with. The only thing I can suggest is to quickly change to a stone that gives you a static benefit such as more magic, or better defence. Also when creating your character, choose a 'main' skill or 2 that you won't use a lot, or that levels slowly, such as Restoration. That helps slow your levelling slightly.

Yay, after 60+ hours i completed Skyrim today, i wont give away any spoilers but i have to say, the ending was somewhat lackllustre compared to oblivion.

With Skyrim 2K installed you'll need more than 1.5GB. I have the same mod, as well as high res npc clothing and some other stuff, and I'm averaging around 2.5GB per card on SLI 580's.
Nice. After installing the above lot I ran the texture optimiser on mine to compress some of the more massive textures- VRAM use hovers around 1450MB in most dungeons, caves and the wilderness without much stutter but cities are another matter entirely. Next card will have plenty of memory for sure.

ENB has a massive knock on in areas like the forest at the back end of Riften. I don't use it. Not entirely sure but I think that has more to do with clock speeds than vram. Someone will have to confirm.
I think you're right. I imagine a tonne of shader power and/or memory bandwidth is needed for the bokeh DOF effect at least

I get all my banners off 4chan :p However i guess if you google image search the game name with 'steam banner' on the end you will find it :)

And you right click on the game/app and select "select custom image" or something like that :)

Well i couldn't / didn't find the banner. But i use the details view anyway so just using the default icon, though it does have a nasty shortcut arrow on it which i'd like to get rid of.....

It'll do for now.

Ta

:)

Sounds of skyrim will only add sound files, so you should be ok to add and remove it.

RLWC i have no idea what that is :).

I have a 3gb 7970 and at the moment its using around 2.5gb of that memory and is really pushing the card hard.

Downloaded and install RadeonPro app and force CFAA, Supersampling and AF filtering through there and disable it in game. Should help with any stutter issues and improve performance.
