The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

I am looking forward to this, but I'm a little disappointed on videos I've seen so far and how little the game appears to have progressed.

There is a big chance my worries will all be wrong.

Erm... everything he said was basically 'Vampires are in the game in the same way they are in Oblivion' but trying to make it sound way better.

Seriously don't get excited and optimistic about the possibility of vampire clans and quests like in Morrowind. If there was such a thing he'd of mentioned it. If you read what he's actually saying not how he said it, all he said was vampirism is possible and it'll be no different to Oblivion. That is nothing to get excited about in the slightest.

Still good to hear they are in though :)

Hopefully we get more info upto release.

This game looks immense, reminds me of fallout a lot. Obviously its got dragons and so on, but yeah im really looking forward to this. Not often i say that about a game :)

When people are celebrating the announcement of something that shouldn't need to be announced you know that really its gonna be down hill from there...

Skyrim is sounding more and more like they're catering EVERYTHING for people who have never played TES before and forgetting about people who have played previous games in the series. The only genuine improvement I can think of off the top of my head is dual wielding which could be an interesting system. Beyond that they've just been stripping things out.

Watching these videos has made me really want to play a rpg.

I have two I've barely touched, Divinity 2 Dragon Knight and Gothic 3.

Which do I choose?

Then don't play it.

I personally think it looks pretty awesome :D

I do apologise for thinking the game could be better than its being made out to be. I'll be sure to settle for generic **** in the future because I can press a button for awesome which will make it all better

Can't wait for this game. If it's anything like Oblivion I'll be more than happy!

Might get it for 360 and PC for casual and hardcore RPGness!

Ummm, why would it be any different on the 2 systems? One you will have better graphics and community mods... The other just a vanilla build of the game.

Either way, both will be the same gameplay style, story and theme set in TES world.

ags

at a guess he going for both either because on pc it's too tempting to add mods and spend time doing that instead and he wants to play vanilla skyrim with no choice, or because he wont have a pc stong enough on release so will get xbox first then pc later

Well on the PC I'll be modding it and generally spending a lot of time and thought about what character I can create and get the best out of end game. And secondly my PC chair isn't too comfortable and my screen is only 23"s.

Whereas on the 360 I can play from bed on a 32" screen. Whilst the graphics and mod support is inferior it won't stop me making a character that I can play casually and generally not a lot of thought will go into it.

I did exactly that on Oblivion and ended up with two very different games.

I'm not dissing the console or PC version, they both will be great hopefuly.

Unfortunately this is what people don't seem to get and are re-sold the same **** over and over again ala Modern Warfare and Battlefield, then whinge that it's the same game and they won't buy the next one even though it'll look and play exactly the same and they'll buy it none the less.

how come all the footage we see is always from flippin consoles !! are there no videos of PC gameplay in glorious 1920*1200 for us to drool over ?
