The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Ah, the usual "graphics on PC are better...", pointing the obvious out lol.

I'm a console gamer at the moment, have been for about 2 and a bit years now... Since selling my PC, the amount of money I have saved!

But, currently building up a sexy new rig for BF3... That will need to be played on the PC!

Skyrim though, will be a 360 purchase for me, as I want to slob on the sofa, with pizza, exploring dungeons.

I don't see how it saves money anymore - with the slow rate PC games are advancing I have had no need to upgrade for many years (the parts I have upgraded were just because I could). So that isn't as expensive as it used to be. Then of course you have the fact that PC games are a fraction of the cost of console games - both at release and even more so after a month or so.

Plus, with a 360 controller and my TV hooked up, I can still chillax back on the sofa and play :D

i think you're forgetting that not everyone buys hundreds of games, plus if on steam pc games can't be resold but on xbox they can so infact end up costing LESS then pc

HA! pc gamers are the biggest moans about!

Er no... its just a fact. PC graphics are better than console graphics and despite this blatantly obvious fact, devs using pc graphics to showcase games inevitable leads to console gamers complaining when the console version doesn't look as good.

How much do you actually get for a trade-in?

what prices are new xbox games? £40? which then played and then sold can be sold for £18.00~ sometimes more

Yea, roughly around the half price mark if the game is a mainstream game, but I keep all of my games (well, have done for the last 12 months).

I just find it funny when people slate the platforms for a game... Who gives a toss if it's going to perform better on the PS3 over the 360, who gives a toss about a minority of PC gamers climbing onto their horses and preaching how consoles are inferior, who cares about the minority of console gamers saying console has better gfx than pc (this is my fave of all stupid things)...

Me, as long as I bloody enjoy the game, I don't care how, or what I play it on!

Yes, I said 'how'... Sitting naked on the sofa, dominos to the right, calsberg to the left and the map of Skyrim on my lap :D... That is a bliss sunday :P

I do apologise for thinking the game could be better than its being made out to be. I'll be sure to settle for generic **** in the future because I can press a button for awesome which will make it all better

If a game is fun, who cares if its been done 100x times before? This hipster "it has to be 100% original attitude" some people gets pretty old. Whats wrong is something is generic? Doesn't suddenly devalue the fun of it. Every game can be made better, no game is perfect.

If you don't like the look of it, don't buy it. Its not that complicated.

Enjoy CoD clones for the rest of your life then.

Realy got most of this year games for less then £10 on the Pc not saying I don't buy some on the day they come out but most I wait a few months and prices crash.

Yes I have a 360 but at this time its just a DVD/Media player I use.
Also Enjoy reselling game while you can they are talking about it now like its Piracy me think its Gen Of Consoles will stop it some how but then lets see. Link1 Link2 Link3 Link4

Getting Skyrim on PC looks the nuts and with the mod making there be years of extra to add to the game :)

Elder scrolls games have to be bought on the pc, they usually need some modding to get them to a proper standard.

Also later on in thier life there are total conversion mods (nihrim or the new middle earth one) so you get one or two extra games for free :p

I think this one gonna be a lot more polished then most people seem to think and not crash as much as well but then I never crashed much on anything till Fallout New Vages

Watched the 20min video the other day and have to say it looks cool even if the Dev had god mode on unless eveyone has 999 health points :)

I do wonder if there gonna be any addons later I have noticed there isn't as many addons for games these days just small DLC that add a few hours of game play

All we can hope for is that they learnt there lesson with Oblivion and don't try to take the Fallout route.

Knights of the Nine wasn't bad and Mehrunes Razor was decent too (though very limited) but the ridiculous number of 'insert special base here with limited function' DLCs and the laughable ones like Spell Books and Horse Armour could've been ignored or made free. None of them were a patch on Shivering Isles though, a proper expansion. Unfortunately with Fallout they stuck to the Knights of the Nine/Mehrunes Razor approach with maybe the odd new sub-area as part of missions or a fully enclosed but short mission. Point Lookout was the nearest to Shivering Isles and that wasn't even close. So we may be in for a disappointment with regards to extra content...
