The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Pete Hines just tweeted these specs. Assuming for skyrim:

Min PC specs: Win XP/7/Vista (32 or 64 bit), dual core 2GB [sic - assume 2GHz], 2GB RAM, DX9c video card w/ 512MB RAM, Internet Access for Steam activation

Recom PC specs: Win XP/7, quad-core Intel/AMD CPU, 4GB RAM, 6GB HD, DX compat snd card, DX9 vid card w/ 1 GB. GTX 260/Radeon 4890 or higher

The Min specs get you playing,. The recommended specs let you play on High, not on Ultra. You'll want beefier rig for that.

I know lots of people loathed the radiant AI, but at least it kept things interesting and varied!

The main problem with the Radiant AI (apart from the people who were going to complain anyway unless it matched every last aspect of their imagination) was that like most Peter Molyneaux games, it promised far more than it delivered. The remarkable (if silly) E3 footage of the woman doing archery practice and then shooting her own dog showed both the ambition and the problems. During the beta testing it became apparent that Radiant was far too aggressive, with NPCs often fighting and important (but not vital) ones getting killed. The decision was taken to take it down four of five notches which then left you with things like all the shopkeepers in the Imperial City leaving spot on 20:00, forming an orderly crocodile and matching to the pub. And at least two minor NPCs still usually getting killed after being caught stealing and fighting back.

Is anyone else a bit bothered that Skyrim only needs 6GB space? Considering it appears to have much improved on graphics/animations etc over Oblivion, it only uses an extra 1.6GB. What does that say for the amount of content?

I cant really be arsed looking through the entire thread - but whats with all these random comments i keep hearing regarding it being fail on the PC?
