The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Choices choices...Plus the Hardback comes with a sorta free online map thing from Prima that would cost £15 anyway.

Hmm, mind you id probably never really use it until after id completed a large portion of the game, though since i dont know how its layed out, it could have information about weapons and monsters, etc which would be a nice read anyway. :p

Yeah, I know what you mean - I always end up buying the strategy guides, but rarely look at them! I think the main reason I bought the one for Oblivion was because it came out before the actual games release, so gave me some reading material to fill the time :p

Again yes...argh...Free editable information from the Wiki (probably coming from Prima guide in some form) but wont be complete for ages.

Against a more or less complete delicious hardback... if only Prima released edited parts of the guide (expansions etc) for free to owners the book... >_> would be nice.

Yeah definitely getting the hardback guide.
Shame it's only available from one place at the moment...

^ indeed, 11.11.11.

I have been looking forward to this game more than any other i think, but i am enjoying BF3 so much that i wouldn't actually mind if they did postpone it, just until i am bored:p

I am currently begging my local indie owner (normally lets me grab games when he gets his shipments in), but he won't be getting any shipments in until the 9th! :(

I can't wait any longer :(

I'm trying to hold off building a new PC until the new year. I've not had a proper gaming PC since Oblivion came out (back in the days when an AMD X2 3800 and a 7800GT was a good build!).

My main machines now are macs but I do have a Dell with a E7300 core 2 duo with some generic HD 3450 card in a machine I use for Windows office work. Thinking if I just throw a HD 6670 into that it'll see me through for a month or two (OEM 300 watt PSU with 18A on the +12v rail... so should be fine and the 6670 seems the best GPU which doesn't require any power other than what it can get from the PCI-E slot).

It sure was, I built my first PC just to play Oblivion after reading rave reviews and seeing vids. I had an ATI x800gto and thought it was great.
