Anyone, sun settings?
Also, assume this is not the default sun? As none of my mods that I can see would effect it... But this is how bad it looks lol.

And yep, that is through a mountain!

Which mod caused that? The sun is visible through all opaque objects in your game?

You've probably already done this but in case you havent - disable all mods and see if the sun is still misbehaving? Im sure someone who knows more will reply anyway!

In the meantime this is the sun I replaced the default one with and it works great for me. Maybe you can try it?

YAYYYYY, VANILLA SUN! Thanks for the suggestion, I dis-guarded the possibility due to none of the mods having mention of sun.

Right, now to add one by one until it comes back.

What the hell, all I've used is the ENB sliders, where does that go? :(

Also, I believe I am at patch version 1.6.89.0.6 (or whatever one Steam has latest) but my Skyrim Script Extender is telling me to patch to the latest game, this was fine a few hours ago -_- but good news! I've done some messing around and got my save games to load, shame I can't use the SKSE because quite a few of my mods rely on it. Will leave Skyrim alone for a while I think before I break it again. :p

When you fiddle with the sliders and then SAVE your set and give it a name - the ENB Customizer generates a config file like what I attached. If you have made your own presets and saved them then sitting in your main Skyrim directory there is a folder generated by ENB Customizer...look inside and you will see all your preset config files in there.

Now I didnt think of this part lol but you could copy-paste one of your presets, open it in notepad and then paste in my data and then give it a name.

But what I will do tomorrow (gaming PC turned off and I gotta get the zzzs lol) is upload the tiny file and u can just drop it into your ENB folder.m All you have to do then is open the ENB Customizer, go to the Presets tab and load my config.

It's fine mate, I can copy and paste it, so long as I know where to look. :p

Cheers again buddy!

Haha no worries lemme know how it goes and if needed i will upload the file. BTW if you want to tweak the settings the first thing to mess with is the bloom level. I will say this though...once you have the game lookin great...save the preset quickly lol.

I tend to mess about with things as little as possible, as I always end up breaking things.

This preset you have is very nice, but I don't know, for me it just lowers immersion as it makes it less realistic but obviously more user-friendly as you can actually see more than 5 feet infront of you. :p

I have both presets so I'll test them and maybe have a mess around and even make a few of my own. :p

For now though, I'm gonna turn my back on Skyrim until I can find a way to get my script extender working again, one of the most dangerous things you can do on Skyrim is run a scripted mod without the extender, can literally explode your data files folder into a fragmented oblivion. :p

Will try ENB tonight. Does it hinder on FPS?

My 560ti 448 core is starting to dip below 70fps (have a fps limiter on @80fps cap) every now and then. All these HD texture mods :(

So yea, I really like the lighting in some of these shots, but I just want subtle changes, such as a little darker at night, with a bit more contrast at night. Maybe a less washed out look when in caves. Ect ect. So yea, just want to know how much of a hit it's going to be on FPS :)

Ta! Also, where do you download ENB from? I can't seem to find just a standalone install for it. Will it work with my other mods?

ENB will hinder your frame rates to some degree, especially if the config uses SSAO, but you can always disable that feature in the enb.settings config file... there are some issues with SSAO currently as well, such as overly transparent water, so I personally prefur it off.

You can grab the latest version here http://enbdev.com/download_mod_tesskyrim.htm BUT look on the ENB Skyrim forum here http://enbdev.com/enbseries/forum/viewforum.php?f=14 for some alterative, and far better configs over the developers default.

I could not use Skyrim without ENB now as it looks very bland without it.

It should work with most mods, but some other visual enhancements may not work correctly, or may throw out the ENB config, making things too dark/light etc.

Jesus, at home now and trying to get my head around the ENB, no guide on how it works, how to tweak ect ect.

Anyone mind pointing me to an 'idiot proof' guide or give me the run up on what should be installed and how.

Thought it ran as a exe and self extracted?

Hey dude, no need for any struggles. You can just unzip ENB, drop it into Skyrim and start fiddling to get the look you want. Its what I did and it worked first time no problems. You just need to do 3 things.

1. From the link below, download the .rar - unzip & place in main Skyrim folder
2. Click other link and download ENB customizer - place in Skyrim folder
3. Double click on ENB Customizer

Now start Skyrim. ENB will be enabled...and you just ALT-TAB out of the game to mess with the Customizer sliders and then ALT-TAB back into the game to see its effect. Once you get a look you like - go back to Customizer and SAVE your preset.

Thats its. Just make sure before you do this that you ensure there is no other version of ENB present on your system.

Credit for these links to SS-89.

I compiled the relevant files into a rar for easy download.
https://rapidshare.com/files/2904708237/Custom_enb___injector.rar

Place those files into your skyrim directory (delete any previous ENB/FXAA settings) and you're good to go (You will need to adjust the brightness, mine is 3 clicks down from the highest).

If you also experience rays coming off the moon at night, go to the Sky tab and under the sun parameter untick sun rays.

To disable letterboxing, in the enb customiser tool go to 'Other' tab and untick letterbox height.

I also adjusted the ENB file to alter the pitch black nights to a more realistic setting.
To do this Download: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=17400 <---ENB Customizer

I hope somebody finds this useful.

Oh yea ENB effects are very subjective! What looks great to me looks like hippo-poop to someone else :D Best thing is to use a preset as a jump-off point to tweak until you get an effect you like. The effect I have is deliberate. I wanted an unrealistic fantasy-look...kind of trying to replicate TERA or something!

I dont know about scripted mods...interesting! Can u post a link to one? I just whack my entire Skyrim data folder on an external HD just in case...along with the game saves. But Steam has a v good backup function too!

I'm kinda amazed how well optimised Skyrim is. I have a pretty old system now and it runs really smoothly with everything pushed up. :D

Has anyone tried the Cloaks of SKyrim mod?

It is great, though I prefer Winter Is Coming. I use them both and atm I am wearing a cloak from CIS and an armoured hood from WIC.
